Batman Begins Who still likes/thinks Begins is better than TDK?

Oh yeah man. Watch it again Payaso and if you still feel that way we can debate it :)

It's still a cartoon of course, but I find it to be very well written. If you can watch the episode I mentioned earlier, "Trial"

Ok. But about "It's still a cartoon of course, but I find it to be very well written." I can agree. But that is far from considering it above the movies (TDK, BB).

Didn't think it was worth starting a new thread, but Batman Begins is on AMC tonight. This isn't a very active thread though so it will probably already be over by the time anyone sees this.

Oh what channel is that?

Oh and sorry Payaso, I thought you said you would take ANY of the Bat movies over TAS. My bad man.

Okay you cats kept me up to long, start a new job tomorrow. To be continued...

Ah yes. Yeah I mean it's really, "darker" than I guess even Batman 89. It's just awesome. I love Batman's attitude in TAS more than any other version I've seen....so far.

yea all the batman series after Batman Beyond was utter crap imo

Yeah I actually JUST got done wiki "The Batman".

It sounded terrible. The first season was suppose to be Bats 3rd year on the mission. I don't think Gordon came into play until the very end of season 2. And I really just hated that art. It was the guy who did Jackie Chan Adventures (which for some reason I kinda' liked)

Brave and the Bold was okay for the few episodes I watched. I dug the fact that it never showed Bruce or anything and just Batman kickin' ass. Voiced by that guy in Office Space and Drew Carrey.

Not sure what they're doing with it now though.

Yeah Batman being in his 3rd season without Gordon was dumb. And Joker looked extra lame.

So.....who still thinks Begins is better than TDK?

Har har har :)

I guess we did get off topic a bit.

I think I've said everything I wanted to say though haha.

I like Batman better in BB.

BB was more of what a true comic movie should be while TDK is a epic crime film

yea i know, its feels like two different films imo
so really i cant say which one is better becuase they are both very good

Well the 3rd one needs to feel like a epic action movie. I'm talking RAMBO style.

TDK isn't just superior to BB. It is FAR superior . FAR, FAR, FAR superior . Batman Begins is a really mediocre film upon rewatches. Easily Nolan's worst film. While the TDK just gets better with repeat viewings. The screenplay is oscar worthy.

BB was not that bad and it was not mediocre. It was great!

It was an unfulfilled promise.

I agree. BB is full of cartoony lines and dialogues, bad jokes and bad action. There are good moments and overall the story and concept were good, but the final result was a Nolan movie with too much Hollywood in it.

I gotta say, I just love how you guys inevitably get to decide what is and what is not 'oscar worthy' and 'cartoony' and 'bad'. When anyone else says stuff like that, ( usually about TDK) you jump on them like a sack of potatoes (ferocious, unforgiving and very stubborn potatoes might I add), however when you say such things (usually about Begins) its as if its written in stone somewhere that the definitions of 'oscar worthy' 'cartoony' and 'bad' literaly are defined by such moments in Begins.

*sigh* Thus why I don't bother with this thread anymore except for the occasional pop in to observe such non-diplomatic moments about definitions.

 That's why it's so hard to debate with some of these guys. I like talking about the differences, and my own preferences, but when you step on theirs, it's like you just slapped Jesus right across the face.

Yeah, it's called having an opinion. And I love it too, that's why I keep coming.

Yes, well, I've said many things about the movies I haven't liked. But I don't remember calling anyone here names, not even "very stubborn sack of potatoes."

That said, my definition for Oscar-worthy - a name I have never used - would be "mediocre and pretentious."

Or stereotyping the ones who don't agree with you. I'd love to hear from you why dialogues in BB weren't cartoony or the one-liners weren't bad.

I don't understand why this is such a factor for anybodys enjoyment of a movie. If it was as "cartoony" as B&R, then I could understand, but it was far from it. Indiana Jones has a TON of one-liners and some "cartoony" lines, but those movies aren't a disiater. If it's to cheesy, then I could agree with you, but it isn't even close to being in a "cheesy" category.

It's almost if you're trying to find faults in BB, just to make sure it can't be better then TDK. If you like TDK, then keep liking it, but don't make BB out to be some flop of a movie. Come on, bro, you should be better then that.

I think maybe he was just saying that with the real world enviroment that Nolan is doing that some of the lines came off as cartoony. Maybe. I don't know.

I for one don't have a big problem with cartoony if it's not over the top.

Like that scene in TDK, "Have a nice trip, see ya next fall."

I didn't mind that line, but last time I heard someone say it was in The Power Ranger's Movie haha.
