Well which villain do you think was the most sinister and evil out of them all??

Joker with his mass murder scheme to give everyone grins??

Penguin with his child killing plan, and then he tried to blow up the city??

Mr Freeze wanting to ice the city??

Ra's trying to 'cleanse' Gotham by destroying it??

Ivy with her killer plants overrunning the planet??

Catwoman with her vendetta against Schreck??

Riddler with his brain draining invention??

All of them had plans that involved murder. But which of them was truly the most evil?? Not misguided, just plain evil and sinister??

Two-Face one was good though he tried to kill Batman with gasoline but Penguin was most evil by killing Gotham’s children.

Joker and Penguin.

I think a lot of people look passed the fact that Joker WAS ACTUALLY VERY EVIL!

Everyone sees him as gassing the city, which is what he did, yes.

But everyone looks passed the fact that he

A) shoots Grissom until he is out of bullets, and laughs the whole time, because he enjoys DEATH

B) shakes a guys hand and TOASTS HIM...than laughs in his face and talks to him as if he is NOT dead (pyschotic if you ask me)

C) Gasses the whole museum, and totally just ignores the fact that dead bodies are all over the ground, and just dances around them

D) Shoots Bruce Wayne and laughs

E) Throws his girlfriend out a window...laughs about it...

So IMO, Joker was pretty damn evil, and whenever I talk to people, they don't seem to realize HOW EVIL, he actually was...

The Penguin, easily.

"Kidnapping sleeping children; isn't that a little..."

*gunshot*

"No. Its a lot!"

Ra's Al Ghul. His intentions were truly sinister, and his indirect involvement with the murder of Thomas and Martha Wayne is just chilling. And he manipulated Bruce from the beginning.

If you think about it, they're all the same, but how they go about accomplishing their goal and which was more crazy is the question. Not who is the most sinister. As for who I think, hmm tough one...

No they're not all the same. All of them were completely different brands of villainy with different agendas and motives. For example Catwoman and Freeze are not really evil IMO. Or at least nowhere near as evil and sadistic as the Penguin and Joker are.

Those two were just sick, twisted, evil bastards.Especially The Penguin.

It's been a while since I've seen 'Begins', but how was Ra's involved with their murder?

I don't know if he was involved or not, that is the idea I got when he is talking to Bruce in the burning Wayne Manor.

He says to Bruce about how Gotham has to be destroyed *something about people such as Bruce's parents have to die for some reason*

SO I dont know, if that was a low blow to Bruce, trying to piss him off and say, you parents were gunned down by someone trying to help the city.

OR, if he says: *indirectly* I got Joe Chill to kill them...

It is a confusing scene

Ra's says the League of Shadows tried to destroy Gotham with economics, which causes a depression thus turning Joe Chill into a desperate mugger

About the indirect involvement with the murder of Thomas and Martha Wayne:

Batman Begins said:
"- You attacked Gotham before?
- Of course. Over the ages our weapons have grown more sophisticated.
With Gotham we tried a new one. Economics. But we underestimated certain of Gotham's citizens... such as your parents.
Gunned down by one of the very people
they were trying to help."

Some of them are psychopaths, some sociopaths (and most screwed over by their boss for some reason). Is an insane man truly evil? Does he even understand the value of a human life?

The Penguin planned some truly evil things but was immensely pitiable at the same time. Burton and DeVito did an amazing job on the character.

Like everything else, Batman & Robin somehow misunderstood the greatness of Mr Freeze. If the guy only commits crimes to save his wife - i.e. no beating up security guards for the sake of it and laughing - then you have a great character. He's doing wrong, against his inherit goodness, for love. In a better film, Batman would have sympathised with him. Mr Freeze isn't evil, he just commits crimes for what he sees as the greater good. He's not disimilar to Magneto in that regard.

Psychopaths and sociopaths aren't, by definition, insane. Those terms (which basically mean the same thing) refer to a person who has an insufficient superego, or "conscience." They take risks others might not take (or at least not without good reason), they use people without concern for their well-being, and most prominently, they feel little or no remorse.

Movie!Magneto acted like a psychopath in 'X-Men 2' when he said to Rogue, "We love what you've done with your hair," laughing and taking pleasure in what he'd done to her.

The Penguin. Killing sleeping children really takes the cake for me. Though Joker gets bonus points for killing a guy with an electric handbuzzer. And did someone actually nominate Freeze?! :(

"More" evil? Seriously? That's just asinine. Let's assume we take for granted that certain people are "evil". They had different motives, different methods, but at the end of the day they all were willing to kill as many people as it took to achieve their goal.. This is like the bull**** "Most evil dictator" debates... well, Hitler commits genocide, but then Stalin killed more people.. hmm. There's not a scorecard, not a competition: they're all about as evil as you're going to get.

Joker and Penguin no doubt.
Well Mr Freeze 's scheme was evil ... in theory and he DID freeze all the city but come on....

I think the Joker was more evil but I did have a stressful feeling when Penguin sent his penguins over Gotham. Sure he was not going to kill "THE ENTIRE CITY!!!" but maybe that's why I felt the danger of the action. He was going to kill only 300 000 people ...
