I really hope it's not Henry Jackman, since I've found his scores pretty bland.

This film truly needs an epic feel to it and should be scored the way LOTR ROTK was.

Who do you guys/gals suggest?

Alan Silvestri, he's the only person for the job. He scored the most memorable them in all of hero films. He needs to come back.

I'd love to see Silvestri, Elfman, and Tyler team up

Whoever it is, the Avengers theme from the first movie needs to stay.

I thought Alan Silvestri was confirmed? If not...yaaaaay :D Don't get me wrong, he's a good composer but his music is too upbeat and happy lol we wouldn't never get an epic Thanos theme from him. He's miles better than Bryan Tyler tho

Henry Jackman's music for First Class and The Winter Soldier was amazing, and he's someone who I think would make a memorable theme for Thanos and his music fits more with the action driven style of the Russo brothers.

It'll most likely be Jackman, but I wouldn't mind if Silvestri or Elfman returned.

One of those 3 are perfect they all have great background history. But I'm still rooting for Silvestru

As long as Danny Elfman is involved in some capacity I am fine with whoever. Lol. Also would like them to keep Thanos's theme from GOTG but I think that's just wishful thinking based on previous history

If Jackman comes back, we'll be lucky if the Avengers theme even returns

If Michael Giacchino's work for Doctor Strange turns out well, he might contend for the IW gig. He's done great things for Pixar films (The Incredibles, Ratatouille, Up, Inside Out).

Come on, we had to see that coming. Right? Right?

Yes, that's his agency site so its pretty official.

Interesting. Guess this confirms that Silvestri won out the little contract war that he and Bryan Tyler had for the Avengers films.

Great news. I liked Elfman's portions of the Ultron score, and I wonder if Silvestri will use his hybrid theme.

Well Film Music Reporter, a film music site I normally trust, is now stating Silvestri will score both Infinity War movies. Their article is using the same source as the link above. So I'm still skeptical about this news. Silvestri should've tweeted this news just as Giacchino did when he signed on for Doctor Strange, imo.

If this news is true it's ironic how the Russo's dumped Jackman for Silvestri to score the Avengers two part-er but hired Jackman for the Cap. sequels instead of Silvestri, who scored the first Cap. installment.

I'm also surprised that news on a composer came this early when both the Black Panther and new Spiderman movie still hasn't hired any composers yet. And both those movies are scheduled for release prior to both Infinity War movies.

Well if Silvestri is scoring, I'd like to hear the return of the Cap theme and the Avengers theme.

Yes! I hope he brings back Elfman's hybrid theme along with stuff like Tyler's Iron Man theme.

Among all the MCU composers thus far, Silvestri makes the most sense for the Avengers threequel, so I like this move. I wasn't a fan of Tyler for most of AoU and the Elfman score was so-so, and Jackman is clearly more suited to political action thrillers like TWS after his unmemorable work in CW.

It's possible Henry Jackman wanted a break from superhero films and took himself out of the running. And perhaps the Russos want Silvestri to provide original temp music during shooting? Composers do sometimes start work around filming, like visiting the sets and getting a feel for the film before the seeing a rough cut.

I also hear that there was a bit of a contract war between Silvestri and Brian Tyler when Age of Ultron entered post-production, but considering Marvel was still under Ike Perlmutter's thumb, perhaps Tyler was a tad cheaper? I'd like to hear the full story sometime regarding that.

There was a contract war before AOU, and Tyler won out initially, but then he violated his contract with Marvel and essentially got fired. Or so its reported. Apparently it was in the contract that Tyler would devote full attention to Marvel when scoring one of their films, but his work became divided between AOU and Fast 7 when the latter was delayed (due to Paul Walker's death). That's why Elfman had to be brought in to finish the score.

If true that's kinda scummy of Marvel. They fired Tyler because of Paul Walker's death basically.

Sucks for Tyler but glad he can't do Spider-Man now.
