Here is the excerpt:

Yeah, I've read that excerpt and characterizing that as Hemsworth being 'unhappy' is a stretch at best.

He was protective of post-Ragnarok Thor, he didn't want to go back to being The Boringest Avenger. It doesn't sound like the Russos ignored him.

You know what, I thought about it for a while and, yeah, I don't think Thor will die.

There's reports that Hemsworth wasn't happy with how Thor was written in Infinity War, so clearly, there's plans to continue with the character after both IW.

Had Ragnarok been a by the numbers sequel, I could def have seen him being killed off. But it was a surprisingly good film and made far more than the first 2, so he def has a bigger fanbase now. I can see another Thor film in a few years to finish things off for him.

Honestly, I would put Rhodey in medium. I am not convinced he would be crippled one film, and die the very next time he appears.

This I think the same. Then again, maybe they wanna pull a fast 1 on us.

Him dying might actually get more of a response from fans toward him than any of his previous films. The writers def seem to overlook him when he's among the other Avengers. Dude is a military colonel and years of experience in the suit. Surely his voice should count heavy among "Earth's Mightiest Heroes".

I think Thor is safe due to Ragnarok's success and the fact that all of Hemsworth's films flop.

I really think the Hulk and Black Widow plus either Cap or Iron Man.

Also Vision as so many have alluded. And maybe Falcon and Bucky.

I’m pretty sure Hulk had a part in Ragnarok’s success .. it would be interesting to see Thor’s next movie without Hulk or Loki.. I wonder how that would turn out.

And Cheadle is really showing his age. he looked young on House of Lies which was filmed same time as his MCU appearances yet as WM, he fully looks like an old colonel.

Again, I have to keep asking this...but why does Rhodey need to die? Why can't he just retire and cope with his current situation? Rhodey is the kind of guy that can take a desk military job. I just don't see them crippling him in one movie and then killing him. Just because someone is old or likely done doesn't mean death is their only ending.

I think we may see 1 or 2 minor/medium character deaths in Infinity War(like Loki, Gamora, Nebula, Vision) and a couple major deaths in part 4. From the latest interview with Joe Russo, that's the way it sounds like to me.

I am not sure why so many people, all of a sudden, believe Gamora will die....is it based on the speculation that she is suppose to sacrificed in order for Thanos to seize the Soul stone?

As far as Rhodey...i think Fiege wants another Marvel character to carry on the War Machine persona....maybe Shuri, maybe introduce the comics character Riri Williams as the new WM vs being Ironheart. Just this Rhodey will be replaced....as well as hus death having an huge emotion impact on Tony.

I don't think Rhodey will die, I think they'll just let him retire. The poor guy can't even walk anymore, he probably only accepted to wear the armor again in IW because he... well, because he kinda had to, what with Thanos threatening the entire universe and all.

Yeah. I'd prefer he retire than being killed off.

Just give him 1 KICKASS scene for godsake. It's all I can hope for and I'm sure Cheadle will agree.

Let him finally show he's more than Stark's man.

Gunn is producing Infinity War and apparently did some writing for the Guardians characters in the movie, so I assume he knew if one of the Guardians was going to get killed off in Infinity War and is writing Guardians 3 to account for it (he said the third film takes place after Infinity War).
