Who's ever been in a car accident?

I was riding shotgun in a small station wagon. The driver missed a stop sign and hit a car going through the intersection in the rear driver's side door. Our car did a 180 and the car we hit (a Ford Excort)fliped and landed on it's roof in a front yard. As we spun around our right rear hit the car that wass stopped at the stop sign facing the direction we were coming from. The car we hit was carrying 3 elderly ladies, one of which died. The car I was in was totaled, the front end was just gone. I walked away, but can't help wondering what would have happened had we gotten to that intersection 1 second sooner and the Escort had hit us in MY door.

1. The old guy is turning left.
2. In order for X-Chick to have hit the guy, she would also have to be turning left(the miracle of two lanes), and thus, couldn't have hit him head on.

I have.

It was hell. I remember blacking out and then waking up to screams of pain as me and my friends were stuck in the car. Firefighters pulled us out. I wasn't badly hurt but one of my friends came very close to pushing up daisies.

once when my **** head friend didnt realize mustangs are front wheel drive and decided to pull the er brake to get out of a sharp turn.he did about 4 grand damage but i let him off and took the wrap.The other being when i totalled my silver mustang.....i waved as they towed him away.I hit ice and after gliding over a ditch hit a tree.no ill effects from either.

I was riding shotty with a friend of mine on one of those autumn days where the sun practically blinds you because its at such a low angle. Some chick in a mini-van stopped short in front of us and we rear-ended her. We were only going about 30 mph, but my friend's car was practically totaled. I remember how the hood crunched up so high in front of us that you couldn't even see out the windshield. The mini-van didn't even have a scratch on it, so atleast he didn't have to worry about fault and what-not (I think it was her fault, but the law basically screws whoevers in back). It ended up costing about $6k to fix the car, which is more than he paid for the car. But he loved that car and got it for a steal in the first place, so it was all good.

Mustangs are NOT front-wheel drive. Never have been, and never will be.

A few. I'll touch on the two big ones.

That weekend I should've stayed home. Sat. I was riding my bike and some cab driver hit me. The next day Sun. a beautiful May day. I was leaving some dudes house and I was going to enter Rock Creek Parkway,my favorite peaceful way to avoid the city. Some jackass attempts to beat to the light so that he can make a left turn in front of me. Instead he T-Bones me and hits my door. I had some physical therapy for that but I'm still achy. Totaled my beloved Anastasia,red little '96 Chevy S-10,strong,tough truck.

The next one also involved Rock Creek Parkway,a year ago this month. I was leaving a concert,Duncan Sheik. I missed a turn and I just remember thinking this is so not good as I saw and heard tree branches brush my window shield fast. I guess I passed out. I came to and called 911,they informed me that they didn't have GPS to locate me.
I passed out again,awoken to foot steps,see a flashlight. Officer Danny!!!! :heart: I'm sitting on the door,he asked if I can stand,push open the door and climb out before the vehicle starts back down the embankment.
Yes,I was arrested later by Officer Park. :heart:

I don't know if I wedged between two trees or something? But I have a new Jeep same model and black,after what it got me through.......

The day before my b-day my family and myself were heading into the city. The car behind us hit the accelerator instead of the break and hit us from behind. My Dad shoulder hurts from time to time. My sister hurt her back and my mom hurt her neck. I wasn't hurt, I came out without a scratch. The Gods were protecting me that day.

about 6 months after I got my license, I was pulling up to a stop light and getting in the left turn lane, and this van pulling out of a gas station on my left hit me on my side, and spun me around til I was on the other side of the street facing the right direction, so I quickly pulled into the gas station and (amazingly) didn't hit the car in front of me or the car coming on the other side. I got out and was a little shaken up, but ok. the car was declared totaled and in its place I got my celica, which I still drive.

in november I was driving straight, the person in front of me stopped as the car in front of them stopped. I came to a stop. (turns out the car in front hit a guy on his bike). after sitting at a complete stop for 20 seconds... BAM rear ended by a 16 year old girl on her cell phone, pushing me into the car in front of me. we all pulled off the road, and she wouldn't get out til her parents got there. her insuranced paid for me to have my front and back bumpers replaced.

Under experienced drivers aren't as capable of avoiding "the other driver."
