Green Goblin I
Green Goblin II
Green Goblin III
Hobgoblin I
Hobgoblin II
Green Goblin V
Green Goblin VI (Normie)
Demo Goblin
Grey Goblin (Gabriel)

If you would have asked me a year ago I would have said that it was Hobgoblin I, but recently I have changed my mind, considering that I read some older and newer comics, and saw what norman was capable of.

Roddy's pretty sick, and due to the alterations of the Goblin Formula, has all the powers of Norman, but keeps his sanity and cool to boot.

Wish he wasn't in comic limbo right now, but I guess he's better off in the hands of capable writer over in Spider-girl

I suppose the answer would depend primarily on what you mean by "dangerous."

Dangerous to Peter? I suppose it's a toss-up, because Norman has known Pete's identity for years and hasn't done much with it outside of the death of Gwen Stacy and masterminding the Clone Saga. If he really wanted to, he could just wait for a time when Peter wasn't around and then gut MJ like a fish, but for some reason he just doesn't.

Now, Kingsley is a bit more ruthless if you ask me. He really doesn't care about any feud with Spider-Man like Norman does. The only reason for Kingsley to butt heads with Peter is either to keep him from getting in the way of his business plans or in retaliation for him getting into his business plans. That said, I think if Kingsley knew Pete's ID (which, actually, it's not reasonable to assume that he does), I think he'd hop on the first Goblin Glider back to the states to take care of that whiney little redhead that Pete's been shacking up with.

you know the saying the original is the best in this case the original's the deadliest
its a good thing normans fixiated on pete/spidey or the mu would be in BIG TROUBLE :ninja:

Norman Osborn would seem the logical choice and everything.

But Roderick Kingsley is one bad ass Hobgoblin and isn't as insane as Osborn, which makes him a tad more dangerous. With Peter Parker unmasked it would be a fantastic time to have Roderick Kingsley return to the pages of regular Spider-Man continuity.

Norman and Roderick are the only two that even begin to come to mind. Harry was quite the wannabe (though he did step it up a notch like right before he died), Bart was, well, Bart, the crappy degenerating clone I won't even get into, Normie was a wannabe like Harry, Jason was just a goon, the Demo Goblin was a doofus, and don't even get me started on Gabriel.

Who the heck is Grey Goblin? I never heard of that one...

That's Gabriel, one of the estranged children that Gwen Stacy had with Norman Osborn.

It's a storyline that every Spider-Man fan hates, but loves bringing up every five seconds because they hate it so much. :oldrazz:

Yes, his costume was grey. Hence the name, Grey Goblin.

I am the most Dangerous!, heheh.

Norman and Roderick were the most capable and dangerous of the goblins.
Macendale/Hobby IV had the tools but not the mojo to bring it all together, I still think he ruled tho!
Also where is GGIV/Phil Urich on the list?

I really liked Macendale as well. He had so much potential but Howard Mackie wrote him a lot, so you know. :csad:

It was great when he was first becoming possesed after doing the deal w/
N' astirh, that was my fav Macendale era.
The Hobgoblin basically became a real Hobgoblin.

It would be Roderick if he weren't in retirement, but I'll have to say Norman as of right now. I agree with SIAT, now would be a great time to bring HG back and show how bad he is.

i think thats because the phil urich goblin was a SUPERHERO not a villian:ninja:

Normie is GG VII not VI. Peter Parker himself was manipulated into running out as the Green Goblin a couple of times and so must have slotted in at number VI there.

BTW i voted Norman, but Kingsley is close (MC2 version) and I can't wait til he returns. If MJ has to die he's my outside bet for killing her. He's ****ing ruthless.

Norman.

Rodderick is a cool character, no ifs or buts about it. But in the end he is a copy. He just can't touch Norman.

And to those who say Norman hasn't done much with Peter's identity....excuse me come again? Now whether all the stories are great or all crap, or a mix (my opinion) he has....

Killed Gwen Stacy, made Peter think he was a clone, killed Ben Reilly, killed Peter's daughter Little May Parker, turned the whole city against Spider-Man for a time, made Peter become the Green Goblin shortly, almost sell his soul, hesitate, put Flash Thompson in a coma when trying to kill him, made him break his morals to break him out of prison to save Aunt May, made Peter think Aunt May was dead, kidnapped MJ and almost killed her (ironically he has only done it once, he keeps it down to a norm) and KILLED HIS HAMPSTER.

If that ain't an ******* I don't know what is. He enjoys playing mind games with him instead of outright killing him. He in fact made it so Spidey was supposed to kill him and replace him and something along the lines of Star Wars **** but it didn't work out. Sure Rodderick is sane and would just plain kill him and MJ clean, but that is why he is not as engaging a villain and why Norman Osborn was the first villain to the screen and Roderick Kingsley will likely never though.

Hard pick between Norman and Roderick. Sure Norman knows Peter's ID (but who doesnt these days?) and is totally obsessed with causing him intense, grevious pain. Roderick is on a tropical island somewhere, seemingly out of action. Sure seems that Norman is the winner. But not really.

The fact that Hobgoblin has been out of action for a while means that Spidey has probably almost forgotten about him. He wouldnt expect Hobby to come screaming back into his life, and thats the upper hand that Kingsley has. Like someone else said, Norman will torment Peter like a kid burning ants with a magnifying glass, but Roderick will just kill him outright and move on to business. Its not personal between Spider-Man and Hobgoblin. Its hard to say if that makes Hobby more or less dangerous.

Harry, he has the emotional and psychological edge that can leave spidey exposed!
