Why always NY?

Now I love the grand city of new york as much as the next guy but enough is enough. Its overflowing with superhero's! At least DC can make-up cities, but marvel its all new york. What I want to see are some superhero's and villans in other major cities of america & possibly europe. Some one please tell me some that are in other cities.

Why, Because when all of Marvel was created they used their home town as a back drop. Dr. Strange's house came from a real apartment one of the writers lived in, Peter lived in an actual naighborhood. Nick Fury used a real life barbershop as his secret entrance into SHEILD. The Avenger's mansion is based on a real building, it has a real address. The daily bugle might be based on an actual tabliod magazine in new york.
It makes sence to me, write and draw what you know. Plus it adds a sence of realism to the whole thing. and now you can walk around New York and think this is where the Avengers fought Kang, or where Daredevil and the Kingpin had their ultimate fight, or where Gwen Stacey was killed.

There is a travel documentary where they deal with all this, its actually really cool. wish I new the name of it.

Ironman : sent the critter to california, that´s where the leading hi-tech industries are anyway

Cap: Washington, need I say more?

Avengers: Chicago, plenty of skyscrapers to play around, plus NY already has FF

X-Men: Seattle (the X-Men always felt somewhat canadian to me, just like Seattle does )

Defenders: New Orleans, Doc Strange would get a kick outta all the mystical energy in the region

Avengers (including Cap and Iron Man): Washington DC. You want Cap and Tony to be acle to get to the meetings easily.

X-Men: Boston. Just feels right.

Not all Marvel heroes are in NY, Black Panther is in Africa. Namor is in Atlantis, Inhumans are on the moon. Iron Fist is in China. I'd say Cloak and Dagger should go back to Boston and fight crime.

Not all, but 99.9999999% of them are. Marvel should bring back the West Coast Avengers.

Though I understand why there's so many superheroes in NYC, I wish there would be more in other cities too.

Or, maybe there are. Even in the Marvel Universe. Just the ones that get written about are in NYC. Sort of like the GL Corps. There's hundreds of Green Lanterns, but we only read about the adventures of one. Or two. Or five. Anyway, I imagine there are a superhuman or two in every big city in the world.

By the way, don't forget the, um, what the hell are they called, the Avengers Loser Branch, in Millwaukee. They seem fun. The guy who's only power is to let other people walk through a wall using his body as a door (The Doorman!) and some other not real powerful heroes. Great Lakes! That's it, the Great Lakes Avengers or Great Lakes Xmen. I like them.

I´ll concede that Avengers would fit well in Washington but the X-Men in Boston?

It would just be cool to see them floating above my hometown.
Or Newport News, where they would most likely be made, because the Newport News Shipbuilding build Aircraft carriers for the U.S. Navy.

Sorta like the US' interstellar ship port on Stargate SG-1. There's a tiny shack in the middle of (I think) a Nevada dessert that's really an elevator underground to where the government secret builds advanced spaceships.
