I rewatched X2 before going to see The Last Stand, and there's something I didn't understand in the start of X2. Why in the world did Nightcrawler look human in the White House? Was he wearing an image inducer (sp?) like in X-Men Evolution? Because I don't think that was ever explained...

He was covered in makeup/paint so he could get in to the White House. When he starts teleporting around, subtlety isn't needed, and the makeup is sweat off.

The real question is why he didn't just 'port into the Oval Office in the first place, but then it wouldn't be as exciting, or as newsworthy, I suppose. The President mysteriously getting stabbed isn't as good a story as a demon teleporting around the White House, taking out guards in the double digits, and finally assaulting the President.

Also he has to see where he is going so if he tried to teleport into the Offic theres a chance of hime ending up in a wall.

There are windows in the Oval Office. Big bay windows. Otherwise, I would agree with you.

LOL!

I asked the same question a month ago.:)

nightcrawler was best character in this film..i like the nightcrawler SFX (i mean the teleport)

he has the best powers!!it really was done well an that sequence could've gone so wrong

Maybe he looked human 'cause of some makeup and some lights and shades projecting on his face...don't know...

He had make up on. In the scene where he teleports to the kids to get them out in the prison towards the end, when they show the kids calling for help, you see him the back ground, before he and the rest knew they were there lol. Watch closely if you care to check it out.

What really puzzles me is how cand makeup hide a blue face?

It was a quite obvious rubber/latex looking mask, not make-up. Look closely, his mouth and nose are covered.

Oh I see...that kind of make-up....

Okay, I'm glad someone made this thread, because I've always wondered about this issue.

I think it was supposed to be makeup in the movie though. It kind of indicated that he sweated it off, because some of it was still on his face even though most of it was gone.
