You went with Llama huh?
That's not what PNAC (Project New American Century) is. PNAC has nothing to do with oil. It is a R&D fund request from a Military Industrail Complex. And actually if you bother to read it...the famous quote "New Pearl Harbor" when read in context actually says they don't want a "New Pearl Harbor".
Since we had one, that PNAC money went instead to fund a lengthly and costly ground war in Iraq and Afghanistan. Not what they wanted at all.
Do I want PNAC to give are Government money to build a bunch of super weapons, no. But then again, I guess it's rather ironic that never happened.
Is this the part where you compare them to Mousilini, Stalin or Hitler. Spare me. Your going to respond to this aren't you, must mean that secret police force is slacking off when capturing political dissendents.
No they kill untold innocents because EVERY COUNTRY EVER has killed untold "innocents" in the name of something. Rules of engagement, they've existed forever. Again, not taking any side, but this is no different from the Civil War, Revolution or any other war where we fought for "insert value here".
This war is simply a question of what you value. If you value oil, or deposing dictators who have grudges against your country, you probably like this war. And I know a lot who find value in this war, I think they are crazy, but hey I got my reasons they got theirs.
No one is innocent. You can always find something someway to make someone you don't like guilty. All humans do this. It's just sometimes, like with Hitler (even though at the same time we segregated black people), you get 90% support allong with it.
It's pretty sad to go around pointing out hypocracies in things, in fact it's intellectually lazy. Anyone can find hypocracies in anything, not a lot can find solutions or attempt to find the good that comes from things. You don't like paying taxes, but you also don't want to give up services your Government provides. Are you E.V.I.L., because that's hypocritical.
Inherently any Government decisions has advantaged parties and disadvantaged parties. Right now 70% of America feels they fall into the latter, and Bush is going to recieve a big hit for this.
Actually, no, they benefit from the tax cuts. Billionaire cronies could care less about some war they enevitably have to fund. Billionaire's always want the cheapest and easiest way to solve a problem. Deposing a dictator is not that.
Billionaire's benefit from Bush a lot, they don't from John Kerry and Ted Kennedy (not sure if you've ever been to Massachusetts..or Taxachusetts) and several other states as well.
Turn the clock back 30 years and it was unions who controlled the Government. Turn it back further it was the liberal-progressive New Deal Coalition, turn it back further it was monopolies, turn it back further it was white plantation owners.
However, envitably the Government disenfranchises these groups and a new group emerges as the pluralist majority. Some people claim minority groups (such as African Americans and Hispanics) will replace Corporations in the coming decade as the single group with the most sway.
This is and has always been the case. If you don't like it, I'd suggest moving somewhere with a parliamentary system. However, here, that will happen always and forever. The group with the most money or the biggest voting block puts people into office.
However if you want a good source to look to, maybe check our voter turnout, it's abissmal. 139th in the world. And that is not because politicians are EVIL.
They did not take over Iraq to put in fast food. Fast food can put in business regardless of whether the United States takes it over or not. Those business are no longer bounded by US soil, quiet to the countrary they tend to move out of our country to avoid are harsh tax laws and minimum wages.

....There is a lot more. Boy the Freedom of Information Act is great. The first site is rather incriminating.
Cause Bush is an idiot who wanted to invade Iraq and finish what his father started. Simply told the CIA and FBI to find him information to justify his war with Iraq, hence why he ignored 9/11...because it only delayed his objective....wait I am getting ahead of myself.
R&D funds for the military, as I said that money was diverted to pay for Iraq.
Why does Bush care so much about Iraq. Look at his freaking cabinet. Cheney, Rumsfeld all had plans drawn against Iraq that never saw the light of day (or were never seen through). Bush wanted Iraq, because his father too never saw that war through. Bush was tired of paying Saddam for oil, so was Cheney. Bingo war. No PNAC, no vast Government conspiracy. Just people with their heads up their asses.
