This is sort of an opposite of Poetic Chaos' thread.

I have bills now.
My friends have gone their seperate ways.
Most of the things I loved as a kid ain't as great as they use to be.

Continue...

I agree.

However my childhood was HORRIBLE, I would never want to be a kid again

move the **** on....find new things to like, create new memories

What if you didnt have to be THAT kid? Like instead of reliving your childhood, you just started a new one as you but not as whatever made that one horrible. Doesn't stop horrible things, but you get the idea.

As for me, there are things I love as an adult, but there is quite a bit I hate. I had a really good childhood, without much to complain of though my parents did tend to shelter me from things like R-rated movies, etc. I broke out of that around the time I turned 13, but my mkom still hates to admit a lot of R-rated movies should even be watched. But I have had so many interesting things happen in my short adulthood (I'll be 22 in April) I don't think I would go back.

As horrible as my childhood was I honestly couldn't imagine a GOOD childhood.

same here

I'm picturing a Black Mercy wrapped around you while you have a huge grin on your face, dreaming of beating the hell out of the old man for the rest of eternity...

I had a great childhood but enjoy being an adult. Responsibility is a good thing, so is being able to be your own person and being accountable for your actions. I didn't know what I wanted to do when I was younger, but now I couldn't be happier with a wedding coming up in four months and a job i genuinely enjoy. Do I miss the days of baseball in the park? yes. The days of staying up till three a.m. trying to see a boob on skinamax? yes. It's not easy being an adult, but it's a great ride and you can only learn from adolescence.

The only thing that I hate about getting older. Is that nothing is really shocking, or awe inspiring anymore.

I find myself doing some crazy sh** sometimes just to get excited again.

I only hate being an adult because of how jaded I am now. Things that I used to hold up so high like friends and family have fallen to wayside because the reality sets in. All the dreams I had died. Now I'm more realistic and less fanciful.

I hate the responsibility. I had a great childhood! I love the freedom that comes with being an adult though.

I'm a teenager, but I miss the worry free days. So much ****ing stress these days

Wait till you get into your 20s. Then you'll know real stress.

Pretty much it for me. I do miss the joy, contentment, and optimism that came with innocence, naivette, and plain old ignorance. Sweet, blissful ignorance. I don't know if I'm just a pessimistic person but knowing better pretty much kills all optimism for me cause I end up always thinking "BUT here's all the things wrong with that".

Aw, man, wait till you hit your 20s. Then you look back and, though you'll laugh at some things, others you'll just want to hit yourself. If I could go back in time I'd probably just end up yelling "What are you thinking?!" at myself a lot.

Same here. If I could travel back in time I'd set myself straight.

Time goes by way faster as an adult... I wish I would have prepared myself better when I was younger.

I hate being an adult because. .

I have to pay bills.
Do laundry.
Clean dishes.
Work.
Act like an adult.
I can't call girls 'cootie-heads' anymore.
If I want something, Christmas isn't my only option. . . wait. . actually that's kinda cool.
Sticking my tongue at someone isn't as poignant.
Buying gas.
Passing gas is no longer funny, unless you're with a bunch a drunken friends.

Closer to death.

I can't say I miss being a kid, hated it, as an adult I can do ANYTHING...EVEN DANCE IN MY UNDERWEAR!

Why I hate being an adult: I have to listen to other adults complain about why they hate being adults. :oldrazz: :awesome:
