Comics Why the hell is Supergirl still considered a teen?

Technically, Kara should be 30-35 years old, because you don't lose your age in cryofreeze, you gain it!

So, why is Kara treated like a teenager (name aside?) And why the **** was she going to school in issue #10, for Rao's sakes?

Discuss, please.

Because she didn't age physically and had no life experiences when she was in cryo-freeze. In terms of her biology and emotional maturity, she is a teenager.

The Question took the words out of my mouth. She is actually a teenager. Had she actually made it to earth at the same time as Kal (the intention, so that she could raise him) she would be almost twice as old (He was an infant, she was a teenager). However, she was in stasis the entire time, and knocked off course thanks to Crisis (both of them). So, she is still a teenager. Besides, teenager super heroes are extremely popular in comic books.

Only in the United States. In Canada the legal age of consent is 14 (which is disgusting I know, but we are changing that to 16). And in many places in europe the legal age of consent is 16.
