Wii or 360?

I'm trying to decide what to buy a wii or 360? I want something that I can play with friends and I've heard the wii is better for that but I also want a lot of good shooting and action games and it seems like 360 has more of those?

Unless you enjoy physically active games, I wouldn't bother with the Wii. Until some of the better games are released, like SSBB or Forever Blue, that console would just sit next to my television collecting dust. On the other hand, the 360 has already been out for nearly two years and had a chance to accumulate a great video game archive. You've got Gears of War, Dead Rising, Saint's Row, Crackdown and Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, just to name a few. Not to mention all of the other good stuff coming out this fall and winter.

The Wii just doesn't feel ready to me yet, though it's time will come. I'd go 360 if I were you.

Simple.

Look at the list of Xbox 360 games and a list of Wii games. You might also consider Xbox Live Arcade, specifically the section dealing with the games available, and a list of games on the Virtual Console for North America, Europe, Australia, or Japan, depending on what part of the world you live in.

After looking at those lists, write down the games that interest you. The system with the most games that you want to play wins your money.

Wii and 360 are easily the two systems to own this generation. The PS3 has very few exclusives at that moment. If you can afford both, go for both. But seeing as the 360 is easier to find right now and has a more expanisve library of games, go for it right now.

hm I think the PS3 is out of my price range! The 360 has more games and a lot more of my friends have the wii. Also I'm splitting the cost with my sister and the one game she's interested in is DDR? Do both systems have this?

geta ps3 and get heavenly sword. and play shadow of the colossus,GOW 1and 2. its worth it IMO. maybe you should wait till this christmas. if i were you i'll buy a ps3 and 360.900 bucks right there.

but i will warn you, don't buy a wii. you'll miss out on probably the best gaming experiences,that will not be offered on the wii.

I love both. I think gaming fans get defensive. Why loyalty to only one.

Wii has more diversity in gameplay and does appeal more to party games. It also has 5-7 stellar games coming out by the end of the year (supposing Nintendo doesn't delay on SMG and SSB3...AGAIN) and is more innovative.

But 360 looks cooler and has more action/shooting games and the developers are more prepared to develop for it while 3rd parties are still struggling with the Wii. Sure a few coming out and some in the past are amazing. But I think 3rd parties are still learning the ropes (or only now starating to get off their asses) in that regard.

But it is what you prefer. I like both. I personally play the Wii more with groups of people (except for shooting needs in 360 land), but hey Asassins Creed is at the top of my must-have list.

That's the problem with the PS3. The cost is extremely high but imo worth it.

If I was you, I would get the 360. It has great games and great graphics.

DDR Universe is out for the 360, and DDR Hottest Party is being released for the Wii in September.

What you've heard is pretty much correct so it depends on your personal preference. I'd try out on a mate's console or at a store demo before buying if you're not sure.

As it stands now the 360 is the way to go. In the end it comes down to the games, but as far as the console themselves go, the 360 wins out right now. The same multi platform games coming out for all the systems run the best on the 360 as of now. Plus if you are a fan of shooter/action games, then its pretty much a no brainer.

The thing with the PS3 is the Blu Ray. Do you care about it? Are you going to be buying or interested in buying a Blu Ray player? If so, save the money and get the PS3. Thats about the only real recommendation I can give for it though. Like I said earlier, the multi platform games don't play as well and other than that the quality of its other games doesn't stand up to the 360's right now.

Throughout my life, Nintendo has bought me the best gaming experiences, EVAR. For instance, Zelda. I can't say there's many games I own, or which are out yet...but I also have Wario Ware.
