Will FF2 hint at events/villains between the two movies?

I put this in spoilers, because if some of it happens, then it would be a spoiler...

But it's really a suggestion to Mr Story at this time....

We know time has passed between the movies (several years?) so I want to see or hear things that hint at the battles/events that have taken place.

This might be an ideal chance to mention some of the villains who are possibly too corny to be in a modern movie. Something like... maybe they are trying to get somewhere in a hurry and Johnny could say: "Pity we can't tunnel there like that Moleman guy we fought last year." and Sue could answer: "And remember the havoc he caused... but that's you all the way, everything's just fun, fun, fun"

Or maybe a gallery of framed newspaper articles showing the FF's heroic exploits: 'Fantastic Four save city from Red Ghost / Basilisk / insert name of villain here."

that could happen but it should be REAL subtle and nothing corny.

a good example might be when Jameson was coming up with a name for Doc Ock and mentioned Dr. Strange.

But yea i wouldn't mind if they droped some Villain hints.

I mean they already Frankie Raye in the mix, they might as well.

It would be cool if they have like Reed reading the Daily Bugle and a Spider-man pic on there.

Or when Sue and Reed try to figure out what Silver Surfer really is one of them says could he be a mutant, and Reed can say something like having to use technology he developed too track mutants for a friend.

As for villains and Moleman, when they confront S Surfer -

Human Torch: atleast this one doesn't smell like the last guy, what was it sewerman?
Sue: Moleman.... JOHNNY FOCUS!

Human Torch: Who does this Silver Surfer think he is? We are the Fantastic Four. We're the good guys! We eat guys like him for breakfast! We beat Dr. Doom! And what was that guy with buckteeth?

Invisible Woman: Moleman, but Johnny, you're making an ass out of yourself on national TV!

Human Torch: Listen Silver dude, you wanna skate with the big guns on your little board. Bring it! Cause I've whooped on Mo...-Johnny is owned by Silver Surfer-

Not Spider-Man. He's in a Sony movie franchise. And he's famous enough. And he is in the same city, and it seems a bit much to have too many people zipping about New York...

I like that. Beast was going to get a cameo, and I think he should.... he should be making some sort of announcement about the threat of the Silver Surfer and discussing if he is a mutant.

The Silver Surfer presents an amazing opportunity to be the world's first contact with an alien being (if they make him an alien in the movie).

As for villains and Moleman, when they confront S Surfer -

Hmm... that makes me think of a villain covered in poop....not a nice image...but quite a good way to mention him...

You're thinking along the right lines.

We only need a couple of these hints/jokes, to keep it 'real'....

Anyways, i would really love a good Spider-man cameo even if it is Sony, i know it won't happen but it's just that Spidey has that kind of connection.

Also a Bruce Banner hint would be nice.

Like if Reed mentions working with a Dr. Banner.

I love this idea.

In one of the many deleted scenes from the first movie Ben asks Alicia about the puppets in the room they're in. Alicia then says that they belong to her Stepfather.
