By now all of us should know that over 40 minutes of The Dark Knight was filmed using an IMAX camera and is the first Hollywood production in history to do so. When people from the business watch TDK on IMAX, do you think they'll be inspired by Nolan to film using IMAX cameras as well?

What Chris is doing with the Batman films is really changing the way filmmakers approach making movies. Whenever I read interviews of directors and writers tackling a superhero flick, they always seem to use Batman Begins as a guideline. Iron man did this, Whedon tried doing it for Wonder Woman, etc.

In my mind, it's quite obvious that Nolan is setting trends and he'll set a new one with TDK.

And Jackman has said they're using Batman Begins as a template for Wolverine's style and tone. BB was a game-changer in the superhero genre, and I think TDK will continue pushing the limit.

The real question is wil Dark Knight be successful enough financially for it to make sense to shoot the WHOLE third film in 70mm (imax film). Now THAT would be badass!

I dont see why it wouldnt make others step up the bar, just by doing BB after that comic book films had to step it up to live up to anything close.

Filming a film of the scale of TDK ENTIRELY in IMAX would be a PITA I would imagine, those cameras are ginomorous.
