If I am right, Spider-Man has been with the Avengers a couple of times in the comics....so maybe Spidey'll show up in the Avengers Movie? Like maybe at the end fof SM4 Nick is in Peters apartment....it would be interesting to see...heh

I'm just guessing here so don't hate.

Spider-Man is not going to be in the Avengers because he wasn't part of the original. The original consisted of Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Ant-Man, and I believe the Hulk? Correct me if I'm wrong.

No... don't want to see Spidey in the Avengers

Iron Man, Thor, Ant-Man, the Wasp, and the Hulk. Captain America wasn't an original member but was later given "founding member" status in the Avengers charter.

Sony isn't going to sign off on even a remote crossover appearance like that ...without inserting a measure of creative control and demanding lotsa $$$ ...neither of which Marvel would likely give.

For the record, I can't stand Spider-Man as a member of the Avengers.

Would rather have spidey than the wasp, plus it could make the movie even better.

If you would rather have Spidey than the Wasp then you're not really an Avenger's Fan. You're a Spider-Man fan.

I believe he has a few movies already.

:thing: :doom: :thing:

Agreed.

Seeing as Sony still has the rights for Spider-Man. The movies will continue to stay an inclosed universe.

And to be honest, I'd like to keep it that way. Speaking of which, how long does Sony have the rights for anyway?

99% impossible... unless there were a co-venture financially worked out with Marvel films and Sony, to include Spidey in a future movie (or some Avengers heroes in one of his..) Sony re-upped a few years ago, so they'll likely have the rights for several more years to come.. If Sony indeed wants to keep this as a Bond-ian franchise, they'll have to eventually bring in different villains (but don't kill them in every film), despite the comics recurring villain model..
so right now, the best hope one can have is in animation for crossovers.. and of course, comics..

Probably not going to happrn. He is a very popular character, but still, they should just leave the movie to the actual members of the Avengers.

I would say it would be nice to see Spiderman in the second movie of the Avengers if there is a part 2 because he later does become a member in the comics but to wait another 3-4 years for Avengers 2 and maybe then they wouldnt want to return Tobey Maguire as Spiderman because all the Spiderman Franchise will be over... I dont think its happening and if it is does it would probably be a new actor to play as Spiderman because I dont think Tobey would play the role of Spiderman 3-4 years from now.

I just don't get the wasp, seems like a waste of a character.I mean she shrinks, how can she be a threat to a villain,or any regular thug?

How many Avengers characters are even gonna be in this movie?

:whatever:
The fact that she has had a longstanding career, I don't think its that hard for her to be a threat.

The Wasp is able to harness and augment her body's natural bio-electric energy, releasing it from her hands in powerful electrical force bursts, which she calls her "stinger blasts" or "wasp's stings." Originally, she required special wrist devices to produce these but again, Pym particle absorption has allowed her to create the ability unaided.

I think the movie would be just fine without Spidey. You have already got some interesting personalities with the characters involved. Establish the original team first.

Full blown membership, NO.
However, I think it would be really cool to have small cameos from other Marvel characters. At a press conference, we may see Peter Parker taking pictures for the Bugle. Or Iron Man battling an enemy and crashing into the Baxter building, interrupting one of Reed Richard's experiments. I'd really like to see, during the final battle, a quick shot of Spidey saving innocents while The Avengers take on the big bad. The possibilities are endless! Assuming, of course, the studios that own these respective characters will play ball. There are ways to tie the Marvel universe together without doing "team-up" movies. Leave those for the comics.

Very nice ideas, this is what cameo appearances from other characters should and could be like. Personally I wish they could have been able to reference other characters in movies. Like Bruce Banner attending was it Empire State University? Peter's college? And Reed Richards mentioning mutant DNA or something. Even Beast reading a Daily Bugle, something small like that is just a nice nod to the Marvel Universe. Not necessary, but surely welcomed.

I doubt it'll ever happen, but I would LOVE to see Spidey in an Avengers movie.

Spidey should not be in The Avengers movie. As a cameo? Yeah, that will be ok I guess.

This is something I would love to see if franchises lasted for like, 50 movies. There are a lot of good things that can be done, but there aren't enough movies to fit in everything that could be nice, or appropriate to see yet.

Sure Wasps powers are not great but the thing they made her work in the Avengers is how she interacted with the other characters on the team. Her personality played a big part to the teams dynamic

Mister J nailed it. Sony are not gonna let Marvel use Spider-Man in one of their studios movies unless they are gonna get something out of it.

This isn't going to happen unless that Sony/Paramount merger is true.
