The Amazing Spider-Man Spider-Man in the Avengers?

What does this have anything to do with Nolan's Batman series? And yeah well the first part of Batman Begins was in another country. Batman goes to Hong Kong and would have done more had the river through Hong Kong not been a disease froth. Lastly, it looks like some of the new movie takes place outside of Gotham.

Also...I never said Spider-Man had to leave NYC. I said he needs to be bigger than Manhattan or Brooklyn...as in fighting something bigger than a threat to just the people of NYC. You wanted to reference Batman, well Ra's and the League was a threat to the entire world. The only way Lizard would be a threat to the entire world is if he wants to turn the entire Earth into Lizard people. That would be gross.

Sooner or later it's going to get old by making a Spider-Man movie with the following formula:
1) Have villain be connected to Peter
2) Have villain be a science experiment gone wrong
3) Have villain's story be wrapped up in one film

Spider-Man has left NYC numerous times.

I was making a reference to Batman showing that not every superhero needs a 'team-up' approach in order to be successful.

Just because something works in the comics doesn't mean that it will work for a movie. When you transfer an item from one medium to another changes are usually made in order to make the transformation. I don't really care that Spidey has done the 'team-up' thing a bunch of times, it's just something I would rather not see in the movies. It's my preference. If it were to happen...well, I'd probably just deal with it.

If they end up using Norman Osborn and the GG again, he could certainly present a greater threat to more than just Manhattan. But why does that even need to be an issue for the movie not to be boring? Spidey has one of the largest rogue galleries for any superhero and more than several heros combined. He has plenty of stories that could keep him busy in Manhattan for quite awhile before he ventured elsewhere. And who said that every villain's story would be wrapped up in one film? I never saw that anywhere...do you have a source for this info? Yeah, sure, the Lizard may be cured or killed in this movie but who knows what other villains they might introduce during the course of the film.

Spidey In Avengers the answer is no, but in New Avengers is probaly...however anything can happening, just sit & pray.....

What Green Goblin wanted to do exactly isn't made very clear in the film itself.
Except when he says:

Here's the real truth. There are eight million people in this city. And those teeming masses exist for the sole purpose of lifting the few exceptional people onto their shoulders. You, me? We're exceptional.
I could squash you like a bug right now, but I'm offering you a choice. Join me! Imagine what we could accomplish together... what we could create. Or we could destroy! Cause the deaths of countless innocents in selfish battle again and again and again until we're both dead! Is that what you want?

What else would he want?

Except they want to make a JLA movie...with Batman. Btw...The Avengers is the first team up flick. It's new to the movie medium. We have had countless solo movies.

Correct...not everything in the comics will work on film...I have preached that for years. But, whose to say this won't work?

If it's your preference that's fine.

Why do some if you keep thinking that if Spidey was in the Avengers that his solo movies would somehow stop being made...seriously. That's like saying because Cap is the leader of the Avengers that we will never see Red Skull. Cap has his own movies and he is also in the Avengers. This is a side movie.

4 out of 4 movies have had the villains wrapped up within the movie...that's my source. You know why they do that? Because Spidey has a million awesome villains. You seem to like Batman...Ra's, Joker, Scarecrow, Two-Face, and now Bane and the other mysterious side villains will have been wrapped up within each film. Nolan had their arcs in one film...one and done. That's fine, it worked. But...they won't keep making Batman movies where Batman is alone. Robin and Batgirl came in to the previous franchise and they are looking to do JLA. Sooner or later, these characters, like in the comics, have grander moments than the bubble they live in. After 4 or 5 Spider-Man solo movies...it's time for him to be bigger than NYC. No Secret Wars crap but it would not hurt one bit for him to be in an Avengers movie.

A parade.
Why wouldn't he just say "rule this place" instead of saying that the people of New York City "exist to lift us up on their shoulders"?
Overall, Green Goblin's motives aren't very clear throughout, which is one of my biggest criticisms of Spider-Man. His only clear goal is to kill the board members, which he accomplishes before he meets Spider-Man. Why does he reappear after that? Why does he want Spider-Man to join him?

The Amazing Spider-Man Facebook group just liked The Avengers Facebook group.

TIS A SIGN.

k..now i'm not so skeptical anymore. That DEFINITELY MIGHT be a sign.

Reason why i say is cause i know a particular individual involved with something Marvel related "liked" the fb page for something.. and i thought it was suspicious..so i asked them, and they confirmed but told me not to reveal it since people aren't suppose to know yet technically

Sooo....someone involved tells you not to tell anyone, and so you come to a public forum and tell everyone about it?

Seems legit.

then again he could be lying....

Yeah he could be lying or a certain one-eyed leader of a secret organization could be making a special uncredited appearance in The Amazing Spider-man.

Here's a clue:

I didn't say the person's name or what they are involved in..
so yea, it IS legit

Even if he was interested in taking over New York City, how the hell would he go about that?

He just wanted to kill the board and retire. He only went after Spider-Man because Spider-Man was trying to do away with social security so he had to fight back.

Spider-man represents the 1%. Norman Osborn is a part of the 99%. Its very clear why they are at odds.

then again he could be lying....
I dunno, if they wanted to potentially get Spidey fans into the movie also, wouldn't they leave us hanging?
Also, as much as i don't like Samuel L. Jackson, it would be pretty sweet to see and after credits appearance, even if Pete said no to the Avengers Initiative.

u guys do realize sometimes ppl do lie saying they aren't involved with soemthign cause they want ppl to be surprised sometimes
