The Dark Knight Will The Next Step in The Virals Lead To Two-Face?

true bt if they r going to hesitate with the joker thing where are they going to go? they cant go just harvey dent...i mean lets face it all the kewl joker stuff harvey dent just wouldnt compare
 
It wouldn't bother me if they didn't involve Harvey Dent at all. I think it would be cooler if they built up the Joker a little bit more, then when we go see the movie in theaters, we'll get a big surprise. I can't imagine they will expose everything before the movie is even out.
 
We have already had a glimpse of Two-Face by proxy. Remember the pumpkin that started the ball rolling at Halloween? Only half of the Jack-O-Lantern face started to rot as the candle burnt down . . .

I don't believe that Two-Face will figure into the viral marketing too much. Not unless he . . . or is it 'they' . . . are in the film more than we know. If WB continues the original campaign (and they should else some of Mr. Ledger's final work will be for naught) I expect more quips, quirks and clues from Mr. J. Two-Face will lead the viral campaign for "Shadow of the Bat."

Viral marketing during the Super Bowl? Hell of an idea if enough people get it. Giants 21, Patriots 34, Ninjas 1,000s

i agree theyll either have to go joker or no campaign at all
i hope the make more though i need something to do for another 6 months besides college

Ugh. Don't get me started on college...:csad: So much to do, so little time.
 
I really think they're going to save the whole two face reveal for the movie. All i've really heard about it is somewhere there's a shot where someone says something along the lines of...

"Dent! I thought you were Dead!"
"Only half"

Like someone said earlier, I get the feeling they'll stick to the Joker build up and save the Two Face stuff for the movie and maybe what comes next.
 
I hope thyey don't reveal two-face pre-movie. I want that to be a shocker for the movie. But then again Nolan always delivers on the silver screen.
 
I think the Harvey campaign is the way to go, without giving two-face away. I want to be surprised by something I haven't already seen or know.

Director Christopher Nolan claims that, while the Joker (as played by Heath Ledger) is the most high-profile new character featured in his forthcoming Bat-sequel The Dark Knight, the movie actually belongs to District Attorney Harvey Dent (played by Aaron Eckhart).

In a brief chat with the Los Angeles Times, Nolan said, "Harvey Dent is a tragic figure, and his story is the backbone of this film." As all Bat-fans know, the handsome and politically ambitious Dent is destined to become the scarred supervillain Two-Face. It is believed that Two-Face will be the main villain in the next sequel.

"The Joker, he sort of cuts through (The Dark Knight)," Nolan explained. "He's got no story arc, he's just a force of nature tearing through. Heath has given an amazing performance in the role, it's really extraordinary."


"It's a dark and complex story," Nolan added, "and the villains are dark and complex as well."

The Times also confirms rumors that made the rounds online last year that Cillian Murphy will reprise his role from Batman Begins as The Scarecrow in The Dark Knight

Ya know... kept reading about people getting wrong number calls on their TDK phones and thought "I'd probably have a heart attack if that happened."

Well today my TDK phone rang for the first time.... after seriously almost passing out from excitement, grabbed a pen and answered to hear "Hi, is Susan there?"

Kinda nice though, it was like a "test run." At least now I know HOW I'll react when it rings for real haha.
 
I think the next step in the campaign is going to be towards two-face.

I think that they will gradually lead us into it tho
 
I think if it kicks off again on valentines day its gonna be us running to where joker lefy valentines and each will have a clue. we get a new site more games more pictures and maybe a Harvey dent campain page for real not a fan site or a picture but like the real canidate sites.
 
I think it would be fun to work with the DA office and be something of a private eye and have to gather evidence againsty corrupt cops, getting a comendation award for something at the end. That would fit into Harvey being the DA.

Hey guys I'm new here, I've been watching in from afar and I've gotta say alot of you guys are bang on with your info and your views, so keep it up!
But I don't know if anyone has posted anything like this but my opinion is we won't see two-face in the virals, maybe a leaked pic, but not on a viral. Heres why. The virals seem to be setting up the film. The Joker role in the virals, is to recuit clowns. These clowns we're recruited for real, people put their pictures on the sites, and then these pictures appeared in the mock-up Gotham Times. The Joker has been very careful in not mentioning much, in he's own words, about Harvey Dent, or Batman directly.
I think what I'm trying to get across is that the Joker side of the viral campaign has been a lead up to the film, how he recruits people, goes about antagonising sections of the Gotham...its a go between, a stop gap between BB and TDK...a chance for us Bat-fans to get some sort of heads-up on a little bit of how the Joker became a big part player in Gotham, and get some cool pictures and puzzles to solve at the same time.
So in this way, a Joker lead part of the viral revealing a picture of Two-face, before the film is release and we've seen it, would NOT make much sense

I definitely see them pushing forward with Harvey in their marketing, but I doubt we'll see Two Face before the film is released (or maybe not even in full view until the 3rd film).
 
Oh they'll be stupid not to use Harvey in the Marketing, seeing that its Election year and that he is a major player in this film. But whether we'll see him as two-face, I'll say no

I was kind of expecting the to do more w/ Harvey already considering it's election year. Something leading up to Super Tuesday would've been cool. Or even some new viral sites popping up yesterday.

Exactly. When the first site cropped up I thought straight away, with a couple of other guys on this site, that that would be the angle that they would approach to marketing Dent. Set up political websites, gearing up to a campaign. Like you said, something, anything for Super Tuesday, whilst everyone is in a 'Political' mood, would've been a huge plus, to feed off the buzz, would've been cool. I feel that they may have missed out on some 'free' publicity
