Homecoming Will we get JJ in the sequle?

Do you guys think we will get JJ in the sequel? I am going to say we do its been 3 movies with out him and I think we have to get him at some point again.

I think we definitely will. Fiege likes this character and his universe too much. I totally understand why he wasn't in the first film, but I fully expect to see him in the sequel.

Oh most definitely. He's also bound to be more sympathetic than Toomes.
A possible Scorpion connection might ruin that.

I think there will be a JJ eventually, but I'm not surprised by the delay. Its not just that JJ isn't really a part of Peter's high school life. Its also that the JJ role in the setting is a dicey one. Newspapers don't have the same cultural role as they used to, so you need to bring J Jonah Jameson into the modern era in a way that keeps the core of the character while still being meaningful. Its a tricky task. Especially since you also need to work stuff out like "How does JJ relate to the rest of the world" and "Do we go with Sympathetic JJ or Villainous JJ?"

I agree. I'm skeptical they'll have Peter working at the daily bugle at this point. Maybe he'll do an intership senior year of HS, but I really can't see him being a freelance photographer at this point given everything going on with his HS responsibilities , Avengers/Stark responsibilities, and his own neighborhood stomping grounds.

If anything, I think he'd more likely get a job somewhere in queens at this point, as opposed to working at a newspaper in Manhattan.

First off, they ABSOLUTELY need JJJ in the sequel. Three movies without him is way, WAY too long! And yes, they definitely need to take a more subdued, less over the top direction than Raimi did. Jonah can be a very deep character when used right, not just comic relief. A more grounded take on him would fit really well with the new Spidey-verse. And not to be a broken record but...
