Will we see Dr. Doom in any clips before the movie is released?

You know some of the more diehard Doom fans on here like myself and I think Iron Maiden for sure, seem to like the Doom look...(Iron Maiden, I thought you said you liked it but maybe I'm wrong...if I am, then I am alone LOL...Regardless, I think that it is a good look (the rubber part is a bit weird) and don't forget that Doom has changed armors over the years so this is just another of his many incarnations. Just think of McMahon's Doom

...after all the commercials and clips, plus reading the novelization, I think I am going to be quite pleased with Doom (hopefully when McMahon went back up to Canada, it was for some dialogue improvement...it is better than last time but not a ton more).

That doesn't cut it for me: from the armor's "many incarnations" they choose to make it look like rubber with unrecognizable mask, ridiculous chestplate like a cheap Rome's version, and those awful shiny blue arms?

Damn. Can't really make anything out. Thanks though. Best comparison I can make then is Colossus from X3. My guess is they figured armored arms are better than armor over armor. It really doesn't make any sense. The mask is just to hide his face since he's an egomaniac.

I'm really hoping that they'll apply some CGI. Because if those are supposed to be his normal arms, that's just cheap looking. There aren't any definitions, you can't see any of the muscle strands like in the first Movie.

I'm with you Goblin, I think from what we can see it looks fine to me. That screen cap is kind of grainy so I wouldn't hold too much stock in it until we can see something more like the leaked photo. I do think it would have been better if they kept the first movie's design for the mask though... it was pretty faithful to the comics version.

I like his new look and IMO it looks better than the first movie the only part I'm unsure of is the rubber body suit, I'm not sure why they went that way with him instead of making it look like metal but hopefully it will work out ok in the movie.

I think that this look would be more forgivable for me personally, if the mask's trademark grille (mouth piece) was in place. Without it, it just looks like...someone else to me.

Too many people are jumping on the Doom look without seeing it clearly as well as forgetting that it's not the armor that makes Dr. Doom.. it's the man in the armor. So as long as the characters acts right in this one I don't care what he wears.

This kinda goes back to the GG in SM1 as his costume was really dumb looking yet the characters was right on the money.

If you want my opinion he looks better in a crappy blurred picture then the new chapstick Joker

Why would you refuse to see the film just because Doom looks like that? That's a damn stupid reason to not see the movie. I swear, there was that other guy in The Dark Knight forum that said he won't see the movie just because of Joker's cut smile. As a die hard movie fan, it makes me mad when people say that.



Anyway, with Doom's new look. Here are my pros and cons:

- The eyes and general shape of the mask look so much better/menacing than the first. I love the the fact that Doom is now wearing a hood and cape. It was much better than the stupid hood jacket and street clothes. I also love the chest plate. It's more "Doom-like".

- I don't like the dragon/Latvarian designs. It should've been just plain. Also, I don't like the fact that the new mask doesn't have the grill. The best part of Doom's mask is the grill, and without it (like LS said), it doesn't look like Doom. I don't like the rubber arms/body suit.

I'm still really undecided about the look of Joker. I'd say it's gonna split opinion big time.

It looks like a marked improvement over the previous incarnation, in my opinion.

I like the cloak rather than that button down thing he had. The arms don't look bad to me, it's hard to tell but if they were some type of chain-mail that would be even better. The mask looks pretty good and I like the chest plate, I think the crest makes sense if it is a Latverian symbol. In this case however clothes don't make the man.

I would like to see a vast improvement in the character, i.e. the writing, acting, and especially the delivery. His voice needs to really project the character. No more of the "marco polo" stuff, and I'd like to hear him refer to himself in the 3rd person at least once.

I love it when he does that.

Ease down there, my hostile friend. Actually, I am a huge fan and collector of Doctor Doom. I have great respect and admiration for the character and the individuals who created him. To that extent I refuse to see him basterized by these incompetent clods! Let's just say that I have better things to do then waste my time seeing such an awesome character destroyed. At least I stick to my guns and don't follow like sheep.

While I think Doom was well done in the first, I am glad the "organic metal" look seems to be gone and they have him in something that looks like armor. Do I wish it looked more like the Iron Man armor - sure - but at least he has armor on and a cape and hood.
