All this talk on "will Superman be in the movie, will Batman". Wonder Woman's place in this movie is another major question as much as Superman or Batman's is. She's part of the Big Three, there is no Justice League without the Big Three. Even Meltzer pointed that out.

Will she be in the movie?

Discuss topic.

Actually, there's been several critically successful interpretations of the Justice League that did not feature the Big Three, but whatever.

Most definitely she will be in. In fact she's probably much more likely to be in than Batman and Superman COMBINED. They'll definitely use this film as a springboard for her own series (as well as the flash, most likely.)

LOL! havent seen that before.

very valid question though. JL followers would demand that he should be, but i feel the studio wouldnt give a rats ass.

true, but then we're after the regular joes and janes to come see this and to them the JL always has Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman

I hope they 'debut' Wonder Woman in JLA movie and then spin-off her off for her own franchise...might be easier to do it that way.

No she will not.. mostly because there is not going to be a JLA movie.. not for a LONG time..

1: a JLA movie has not been given a green light, WB just asked a few writers to come up with 1 script
2: There are no director or producers involved.. just writers
3: there is no script.. just ideas..

It's possible that because of his work with ensemble superhero casts ie. X-Men and X2, and his work with Superman, Bryan Singer may given the reins to put a JL film together.

I would hope that is not the case, because I feel he did a horrible job with Superman Returns in terms of story and action. However, because of his association with WB and DC, he might be given the opportunity.

^Singer for a JLA movie? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope this is the case. WB has just managed to get the Batman franchise re-established and now they are already thinking of a team up movie? They once again make a superhero movie widely accepted by fans and critics, so what's WB's next move? Why of course it's to rush into a JLA movie and basically sabotage the Batman series and derail that before that can get into a third film by Nolan.

Maybe I'm being paranoid but I don't trust WB. It's just by pure luck anytime they happen to get a superhero movie right. Plus, they still have to get Superman back on solid footing after the mixed results from SR. They need to let those franchises breathe(at least 3 for each franchise) and hopefully get a WW movie out first, THEN go into a JLA movie. I also still think that the WW solo movie has a shot as long as Joel Silver is attached to it.

So because you didn't care for *one* of his films, suddenly it's okay to pretend that his other movies never existed and that he's the worst thing ot happen to film since Uwe Boll first uttered the word "ACTION!" ?

LOL :D

Although I wouldnt mind seeing WW in a JLA movie, I would preferably see her get her start in her very own movie. Having the big three (Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman) in a JLA movie would be a safe bet for WB, but personally I would rather DC's other heroes like Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, Green Arrow ect ect to take center stage in a JLA movie and establish themselves that way.

I can't picture a JL movie without her but then again Angel and Beast weren't in X1 despite the fact that they're "original x-men".

well i hope she is...she is the most popular woman superhero in DC Comics.

Adding on to this idea a great idea were to have the big three( superman wonder woman and batman) captured and time for others to take centerstage.

She should be in the JLA movie. But a JLA movie shouldn't be made for a while, not before most of the individual members are established in their own movies.

The JLA is not just any superhero team. Its most iconic and definitive lineup is an All-Star team of the biggest names in comics. Superman, Batman, and yes Wonder Woman. Done right, a JLA movie would be a HUGE money maker for the WB. You only get one chance to do a movie this big every few decades, so it should be done right. That's why I'm against rushing this movie out, or watering it down so that the JLA would be filled with second-stringers and portrayed as "just another" group of superheroes.

I found this piece over at About.com that interviewed Silver about his in production films, "Speed Racer" and "Whiteout". Aside from the point that "Whiteout" has moved production to Montreal and that the Wachowskis will be adding their own personal philosophies to "Speed Racer" the article reported what Silver also said about "Wonder Woman":

What’s going on with Wonder Woman?: Joss Whedon’s out after having worked on a Wonder Woman script for months and months, and Silver admits they’re still a ways off from being close to getting Wonder Woman into production. “We’re struggling with it, but we’ll fix it. We’ll solve it.”

One possible solution is to have Wonder Woman appear in the Justice League of America movie that’s being set up at Warner Bros. “I hope that happens. I don’t know where that… Again, I said this over at Wonder Con: for years now, Marvel’s just been kicking the DC Comics’ characters ass. They’ve been killing them. And look, I don’t know if that’s because the Marvel characters are more self-deprecating and more [of a] twist on the super hero character. But I mean, DC is the foundation of the super hero character. They’re where it came from. And Watchmen, it’s definitely not – it’s more in the Marvel direction but I would hope that we can bring some of these DC characters. They’re doing the new Batman now and I hope they can do another Superman. I hope we can figure out Wonder Woman. I hope they make Justice League and I hope we can do a lot of these characters because I think it’s good to get them out there. I’d like to try to win that war.”

I don't think they'll actually make a JLA movie, very unlikely.

^^ we'll see man.

i'm keeping a close eye on Marvel's Avengers. if that goes through you could bet the farm that WB will want their own team to counter that. and that would most likely be the JLA.....

... unless of course DC goes with The Watchmen. hrrmmh.....
