I believe he's sayng the Rock is Champion so he can parade around Hollywood with it, giving the title more exposure.

I admit, it's not a bad idea conceptually from a business standpoint but it can hurt your present product though.

Just to be clear, I'm referring specifically to why the WWE title belt 'looks' the way it does, rather than having a more traditional look.

Anybody else hear that Vince did most of the creative behind last nights Raw?... It was pretty decent too, I thought.

- Vince McMahon was reportedly a lot more hands-on with producing and scripting last night's RAW from Indianapolis. This was the first week since Eric Pankowski's departure and it's said that he wasn't missed last night and it was like he was never there.

What likely led to Pankowski's departure was having CM Punk, Randy Orton, Sheamus and Big Show compete in the Fatal 4 Way two weeks ago to earn the right to face The Undertaker at WrestleMania 29.

Everyone felt that the Fatal 4 Way was a bad idea. People told Pankowski it was a bad idea but he blew them off and went with it. No word yet why Vince McMahon approved it for TV.

- It was reported earlier today that WWE officials are considering a MMA-style fight for the Brock Lesnar vs. Triple H match at WrestleMania 29 in just a few weeks.

F4Wonline.com reports that the match will not be held under MMA rules.

WWE officials are considering 3 or 4 different stipulations but they had not decided on anything as of last night's RAW. It's possible we won't find out the stipulation until the March 25th or April 1st RAW.

Word at last night's RAW is that WWE officials have revamped a lot of the WrestleMania 29 undercard once again.

There is said to be a lot of stress internally because Vince McMahon continues to frequently make changes. While some feel that the product has been better as of late, Vince is reportedly not happy with creative and wants changes made.

Monday's episode of Raw scored a 3.36 rating and averaged 4.81 million viewers. These numbers are down from last week's 3.54 rating with 5.02 million average viewers.

Raw did 4.98 million viewers the first hour, 4.89 million the second, and 4.57 million viewers the third hour.

I think you mean "where it is".

And Rock is making it look prestigious here, I can't hate on that. I just hope it garners towards giving them the Wrestlemania buyrate they're pushing for and makes up for Rock's absence on television.

I will admit that him having it in interviews and promo tools can definitely help the WWE in the long run but at the sacrifice of where they are now.

Now what the WWE needs to do is continue their work on retooling and expanding their creative department.

Yes. Of the current guys on the roster, and the ones the E can bring in, Rock is on top of the world right now (media and publically wise in the entertainment spotlight), so it makes sense that they would do this. In the long run it could prove fruitful for everyone. The E just need to take advantage of the potential recognition and attention they could get from this and run with it in the right way. Though if past recent things are anything to go by and what is expected to continue, then it doesn't look too promising.

Whoever the main guy and/or WWE champion is will most likely be doing tons of media appearances and gigs, and carrying this thing around with them will potentially help do the trick of expanding and increasing their audience.

At this point in time, it seems as though brand recognition is greater than talent recognition. Which is fine when you consider that you have to have people watching the brand before they can recognise the talent (not counting us die-hards, of course ).

This thing will likely do the job it is expected to do, and get people talking 'WWE' when they see it. Another thing is seeing as the company is one that is publically traded, brand recognition is even more important for them in that sense.

Agreed, I think this will be the best scenario we will get for the foreseeable future, in regards to seeing a traditional-looking world title.

It's been like that for years now. The WHC has always played second fiddle to the WWE title (McMahon's title). The only time it seemed to overshadow the WWE championship was during Helmsley's reign of terror living out his fantasy of playing Ric Flair and being in the Four Horseman.

I too used to be of the same feeling that one major world title was my personal preference, though at least with the WHC around it allows those who probably have hardly any chance of holding the WWE title a chance and taste of the glory and/or of being a/the 'top guy'.

He's the top dog in the industry now, on top of the mountain, he can and will do whatever he wants. Regardless of what he puts out, there will always be those who will watch it and come flocking back.

The only way he would change his ways, imo, is if he had worthy competition who were a threat to him and his company. Or if the the health and well-being of his company and his livelihood was truly in trouble, under threat and in danger of going to the wall and under.

Former TNA Knockout Daffney (Shannon Spruill) settled her lawsuit against TNA that stemmed from TNA’s failure to pay her medical bills during her 2009-2010 tenure with the company. Daffney and TNA reached a settlement right before the next court hearing in the case, which would have potentially opened the door for every pro wrestler to become classified as an employee rather than an independent contractor. That debate will now have to rage on.

ESPN's comments during their Power Rankings article.

Can somebody explain to me the point of CM Punk losing to The Rock twice and breaking up the most significant title reign in years, a reign that actually helped bring meaning back to the WWE Championship, when in the buildup to Wrestlemania, WWE creative knew The Rock wasn’t going to show up on every Raw (even via satellite)?

Every Rock no-show leaves me more and more frustrated. If the point was to build to the John Cena versus Rock rematch nobody over 12 wants to see, couldn’t it have been done without taking the title off the guy who actually busts his butt on every show? Adding the WWE Championship to the Undertaker-Punk match, making it streak versus title, ups the ante far more than putting the title on the line in the Twice in a Lifetime main event. But maybe that’s just me.

Speaking of no-shows, if you know you don’t have The Rock next week due to a scheduling conflict, wouldn’t you shoot some new backstage content while he’s there to fill in the holes? Can’t you tape Rock and Cena getting into a backstage brawl or a fight in the parking lot while you have them both in the building? That way, when Rock is out doing whatever it is he does other than defending the title, he can at least be on the show every week as we build toward the biggest event of the year?

Crazy, I know, to actually expect to see the WWE champ on Raw.
