Winner Takes it All....

Does anyone feel/think that this year's batch of CBM's could land as their favourite of all time....

It'd have to be at least 3 solid movies. So far, Logan and 2 of the remaining 5?

Such as 2014 with TWS, GOTG and DOFP.

The Dark Knight. One of the best movies of all time, never mind comic book movies.

Logan is my second favorite comic book movie to date. I have not changed up my top five in five years. So for me, that is an immense achievement of a film.

With that said, it will be very hard to top TDK. Not impossible, but given the current studio climate for superhero movies at least, a tall order.

Logan is such a breath of fresh air in the superhero genre right now. Pretty amazing that a movie like that got made in this climate, where everyone is obsessed with cinematic universes.

I finally decided to pick one. The Dark Knight.

3 films are tied as my top comic book film of all time

Superman(1978) X2,and the Dark Knight.very hard to replace them on my list.

I'll have to give it more time, but The Dark Knight had a truly formative experience on me. I wasn't interested in movies at all before I saw The Dark Knight - it really was the film that made you believe these comic book films could be something more, and is a film, an experience that hadn't been matched until Logan came out this month.

I might end up preferring Logan more in years to come, but I think the way The Dark Knight changed me and changed everything else is too hard to ignore. Logan no doubt exists because of the Nolan trilogy.

I'd still have to give it to The Dark Knight.

There is still something to be said for The Avengers, which is the most fun I've ever had watching a comic book movie, and Logan, which is the only comic book movie that made me cry.

Maybe GOTG. I'm not sure about the others. Logan while a great film is not my current favorite.

The Dark Knight, followed very closely by Spider-Man 2.

The Dark Knight. Although I look forward to the day it is replaced as it means we will still have great CBMS ahead for us. Logan was great but it still doesn't crack my top 5.

Toss up between Civil War and the avengers. I'll go Civil War because it expertly combines what I love about Avengers with what I love about Winter Soldier.

Same for the exact same reasons. I adore The Avengers as a one of the most entertaining blockbusters ever made, I always get a kick out of watching it, but CW is simply more substantial and better crafted.

Though, of course, the absolute pinnacle of CBMs is The Dark Knight. Amazing film.

Cap and Batman have been done so well it's hard to pick. If it's a Batman film it's Begins or TDK. Rises killed that franchise for me :( . Cap though steadily improves each time he's on screen. CW I felt like had a few noticeable absences (mostly Fury), but TWS just had such a perfect transition from Avengers to it.

Winter Soldier.

The Winter Soldier.

It really elevated and justified the MCU in a way that I appreciated. It had the fun bits of Avengers and the meaningful bits of The Dark Knight and it put them together in a way that only this character could do, and I appreciate the HECK out of that. It's an MCU film I can re-watch.

TDK, obviously, despite my misgivings about the Nolan-verse, is still probably the best. The Winter Soldier and now Logan are up there near the top. And if we're going with any CBM, then Road to Perdition could possibly take the top spot.

Just a joke homie.

I personally think it's one of the worst comic book movies of all time and the worst Marvel Studios film.

My real choice: The Dark Knight/Rises

A tie. But I do look forward to watching Logan on blu-ray. And Civil War again soon. I wonder if I'll have a new winner.

In light of this question I posed back way when, have any of this year's/summer's CBM's made the honour ?
