The Amazing Spider-Man 2 With Great Sequel Comes Great Lounging - Part 7

When I first saw Thor 2, I gave it an 8.5 and said it was better than IM3, which I gave an 8.0. After a few months, I decided to switch the scores. I think Thor 2 may even go down to a 7.5 if I see it again. I liked it the first time around, but when I think about it in hindsight and I read what others say, I come up with more bad things than good things.

Originally, I gave Thor 2 a 5.7 and now I give it a 6.5. It was a major disappointment for me. I'm a humongous fan of Thor. Hes my second favorite superhero and it just didn't satisfy me at all like I thought it would. The trailers made it look way better. Imo, Thor felt like a supporting character of his own self titled film. There was way to much Jane involved. The entire movie felt told from her perspective. I wanted to see more of Tho's daily life and of him being a savior to the people of the other realms, not just fight villains. Theirs a reason hes a hero after all. One of my favorite comic book panels include him saving a little girl from anther planet who was about to die of dehydration so she prayed to him and he came and saver her and her people. Another complaint, even though this has been said multiple times, was the waste of Eccelston. Hes one of my favorite actors and I thought he would be amazing in this film and probably would of he would of had more than five minutes of screen time and his motives weren't so weak. A pet peeve of mine also from the movie, is how under powered Thor is compared to the comics. I guess its just the inner fanboy in me, but it really bothers me. With all that being said, I do like the movie. It does shine in some spots. Loki was fantastic, I really enjoyed him in the movie. Especially his quote "trust my rage". The final fight was pretty interesting, and I love Hemsworth as Thor. Also, the ending left a ton of possibilities, and really leaves the audience guessing which I personally love.

Cool list! It's actually pretty close to mine. And I agree. I think this year is going to be full of greatness where superhero film's are concerned. I can't wait.

I'm a big fan of Thor (second favorite hero after Spidey). And I do enjoy parts of TDW. But sometimes it just irks me. Particularly the stuff with Kat Dennings and the final fight.

Spidey flu is THE flu.

And we're all gonna have it for the rest if the year. Or until blu-ray comes out.

I know right. This time leading up to the movie is pretty easy imo but if the movie is good, the 4 months I have to wait for the Blu ray to come out is going to be excruciating.

About to go to sleep here, but I just thought- imagine if we had to wait til July like the first movie? Haha whewie.

I liked it, but it felt too quick.

That's what she said.

Summer vacation is better for movie viewing
But it will mean two more months before the movie is released on disc, that's annoying

Surprised so many people here liked The Wolverine aswell

I liked it too and I think its a really underrated movie

Agreed. I liked the way it ended TOO, literally, like the credits rolled abruptly with no forced laboring of screen time. It was as though it was the end of a comic book issue or something and it wrapped it up nicely.

On my first view I didn't enjoy it that much, I should have enjoyed it more since I love Samurai stuff, but I didn't

After Origins, it was a relief to watch an Xmen movie that didn't totally suck. It's not going down in the history books, but it was a nice little gem

I really liked parts of Wolverine, but the ending was pretty underwhelming. The post-credits scene was brilliant though. I liked this one much more than the Origins movie, but the main problem for me still remained. I like Wolverine, but he is much better as a part of a group, rather than being the main character. Wolverine should be a *****ebag, and when you make him the main character, he needs to be more sympathetic, and it feels slightly out of character for him. He works better as the smug a-hole who makes fun of Cyclops.

There's a post credits scene? Ugh...how did I miss that

Baynage Mutant Bayja Turtles just dropped their trailer, anyone else hate it?
