When it comes to video games, I usually don't care about characters
Except in Resident Evil, Metal gear, and Devil May Cry games
And from fighting games the only character with an enjoyable story is the second Sub-Zero

Is The Clone Wars cartoon any good? I think it looks cool and it's on Netflix now.

Someone on this site is making me watch it, I don't know who.

I remember it starting off just okay but getting really good in later seasons. There are bad episodes, of course, but I'd recommend giving it a watch if you're a Star Wars fan. :)

I watched and was impressed by the pilot episode. Yoda is a baws.

@UltimateWebHead

Bought Red Dead Redemption yesterday. Played a bit then and today.
I'm really used to more modern settings (MGS - futuristic, TLOU - post apocalyptic, GTA - heist-y, modern day) so it's strange playing a game that really takes place in the west. I love so far that I'm being immersed in the culture whether it's authentic or not. It's pretty darn interactive, killing any animal, skinning it, looting bodies, honor and fame meters, etc. I think that's pretty cool. The gun action is what I play most games for and it's similar to GTA of course so I guess there's nothing new I can enjoy about it but it's fine. One nitpick is that I wish the camera were closer to the character sometimes but that's it. I wonder if by the time I'm done with the game, I'll like it better than GTA or not.

I'm not super far in to the game yet, keep that in mind.

Thanks! I might check it out soon. :yay:

The gun play gets better as you upgrade your Dead Eye ability and get better weapons. My favorite part was getting good enough to be able to shoot enemies hats off and disarm them.

I don't care for western games much at all but after playing RDR it completely won me over.

Yeah I was watching YouTube videos. I can't wait until I'm able to do that stuff. Like how do I make the marks, or the "x's" on them during Dead Eye? How do you upgrade your Dead Eye?

The dead eye upgrades as you go thru the story mode. There's nothing you need to do in that regard other than just play thru the game. It will show you how to make the 'X's when you get to that part--I can't remember what button you use, I think it's R1/RB but I'm not completely sure so don't take my word on that.

Just warning you now: there are Jar Jar-centric episodes. But the great episodes more than make up for them.

Goddamit, I friggin hate Jar-Jar. One of the worst characters ever. Oh well.

JarJar is incredibly annoying in Phantom Menace, I don't mind him in the other two movies
Is his presentation in Clone Wars as unbearable as it is in Phantom Menace or somewhat more tolerable?

He has little to no presence in 2 and 3. I hope he's not that annoying in TCW.

Oh, and I can't believe George Lucas thought he'd be the new Chewie. Not even close, George, not even close.

His little presence is one reason he's not annoying in 2 & 3

Eh, Episode 2 still sucked big donkey balls anyway. :o

My friend is a big Star Wars fan, he watches all the shows and knows most of the EU characters... my Star Wars fandom stops at the movies :L

Anybody gonna check out Rebels?

Edge of my seat the whole way. I was stumped too.

When I saw the one, I thought it was that person, but then I changed my mind. It had me guessing, but the ending was a little bit weird, lol.

I know! That's what it was good at. The ending was sort of your typical ending to an action movie though lol.
