I heard that the actions scenes were filmed poorly (too many quick cuts, shaky cam, etc). Is that true?

I dont know who says that but imo the action is better than all MCU movies so far(yes even the TA)

In the theatre about to see TSW now... Let's hope it lives up to the hype!

Um..yes in the first action sequence, there's quite some shaky cam. It lasts a bit, but it lets go. You should be able to make out what's happening though. It doesn't last the whole movie, I don't think, but seeing it twice, I don't think the action was poor. Love all his shield combat.

That's actually one of the things that worry me. I hope the dialogue in TASM 2 is at least "decent".
Same. I don't think I'm worried about TASM2 lacking heart though.

Well so far the TASM2 dialogue sounds fine.

It's really up to delivery. Some things might sound cheesy on paper, but if the actors are good, they make the dialogue feel very natural.

Plus, from what i've heard, Garfield and Stone improvised quote a bit.

Yeah, delivery is really important. I remember Khan having a really cheesy line in STID: "They needed a warrior's mind; my mind." On paper that sounds terrible, but his delivery was so good that it didn't really matter IMO.

I think that Benedict can deliver just about anything. lol.

Cap2 was awesome! It's easily the best Marvel phase II film and thank god for that...phase II has been awful imo. Thanks to Cap though we're outta the slump. Great story, pacing, effects, and excellent action sequences. This gets a 9/10 from me. Very, very solid cbm. One of the best Marvel films for sure.

I hear that scene in Dr. No is kind of stupid because tarantulas aren't really that dangerous. I dunno though, it's still a fantastic movie. Nice way to start the beloved Bond series!
In the novel it was a centipede.

Dr No is a great movie. I like how low key it is, almost like a character study of Bond at times.

Yeah, you're right about that. Actually the reason why they decided to adapt Dr. No as the first movie is because it was the cheapest to make. Dr. No was the 6th James Bond novel but it had a bigger focus on dialogue and character development. Now imagine if they went in order and made Casino Royale the first Bond film; we probably wouldn't have had the 2006 Daniel Craig movie (which is by far my favorite of the whole franchise).

:applaud
:highfive:
So solid. Holding off seeing it again until blu-ray.

It's nice to finally have a great phase II film. It started off really weak IMO.

Iron Man 3?
I wasn't a fan of IM3. :(

I don't think it was bad by any means. In fact, the Mandarin Twist was probably my favorite part of the movie. But overall I think it fell flat.

Oh, so flat. It was on TV the other day and I couldn't enjoy it.

I couldn't tell if they wanted to be more serious or funnier than the previous two Iron Man films. Oh well. And although I enjoyed the hell out of the Mandarin twist, it really was a wasted opportunity to make use of Iron Man's greatest villain.

IM3 and Thor: TDW were both pretty disappointing IMO. So Hopefully TWS is as good as everyone says it is.

I actually haven't seen Thor: The Dark World yet. I'm waiting for it to come out on netflix like I did with the first movie.

See it's the opposite for me.
I find all phase 2 films so far to be superior to the phase 1 films.

Lol that's what I hear. It seemed way too goofy compared to the previous films so I say goofy.

Cap has always been my fav Avenger. Just so likable and written really well. Chris Evans does great.

"What are you doing? Looking for shells?"
"No, I'm just looking."

That whole scene is awesome.

Yeah, although Dr. No has decent action, it's not super grand in action. Although the climax is fairly big, I can see why the movie wasn't too expensive. As for making Casino Royale, wasn't EON not allowed to make it because they didn't have the rights till the mid 00's?

If I had to rank the Avengers, it would be:

1. Iron Man
2. Captain America
3. Bruce Banner/Hulk
4. Black Widow
5. Thor
6. Hawkeye

I have to say that I'm actually pretty darn excited for Ant-Man (even though it's a character I never took seriously). The reason why I'm looking forward to it so much is because it is being directed by Edgar Wright, the guy who made Shaun of the Dead. :D

Why isn't Black Widow on top of your list? I mean, when I said Cap is my favorite Avenger, I meant behind Black Widow. Natasha Romanoff. Scarlett Johansson. Perfection. Lol k stops here.

I never saw Shaun of the Dead fully. I dig zombies, though. Ant-Man is phase III right?
