Wolverine trailer advertised with "Day The Earth Stood Still"

By the way, congrats xwolverine2 for having seen the trailer!, but tell us, were they very strict concerning cell phones and cameras? no one has posted a leaked trailer yet. :csad:

pffft!... no they didnt say anything

YET with twilight they made a whole speech threatening to arrest anyone with cameras or cellphones.... or even for text messaging.

my theater is stupid

OMG, I don't think Wolverine is going to save Day The Earth Stood Still. It looks like it won't make a whole lotta dough.

who cares... its not like theres gonna be a sequel lol

i really think that after this year, if things don't get any better, Rothman will be out of the job. I mean..thank God that they have Wolverine and Avatar next year, but what about beyond? It makes me think that Fox is out of touch now.

Is rothman the one picking the Directors? TDTES and X3 were just frustrating to watch.

Avatar as in Avatar:The last Airbender?
No, I think that comes out in 2010.

Anyway, there's something really wierd going on. I was at the Gambit Guild and a couple people said they didn't see the trailer with TDTESS.
One of those people was in Peru, (I guess the other person was
here in the U.S.), but still, that concerns me.

In any case, I'm definitely calling ahead tomorrow to make sure it's there after what I've heared. (I suppose you can do that. I read about it once.)
I'll go anyway because I've been bugging my dad for 2 weeks about it.
(For the trailer and 'cause I think it looks like a cool movie. I like movies
everyone else hates. I'm wierd like that.) So then I'll know if there's no
trailer ahead of time and won't walk out of the theater completely disappointed. (and P.O'd.)

That's why I didn't go to see TDTESS yesterday even though it was released 1 day before the US, I knew they were not going to distribute it to latin america, I dodged a bullet right there :D

That's the intro to the Trailer, I got it here in LA last night.

I really like the fact that this Trailer is very different from the Comicon Trailer.

It doesn't focus on the Logan/Creed brotherhood that much and instead focuses more on the Wolverine/Stryker saga.

There's also alot more of that BADASS called Gambit.

Thanks for the tidbit. *clicks and saves* :D I'll take what I can get.

Rothman is just the title people like to throw around whenever they don't like something that happens to be produced by FOX.

Rothman is just one man. Sure, he has the most responsibility, but unless it's been directly addressed, I just don't think it's safe to arbitrarily use him as the cause of everything that's WRONG with FOX when we don't even know what he or anyone else at FOX really does, what good they've done or what their justifications are.

But ANYYWWWWAYY, I thought Gambit's hat was pretty cool. I think it was something that well suited him and made him feel like a real guy.

I think its looks better than him wearing a half-cowl.

First time I've ever seen anything like this.

I just saw a commercial for "The Day The Earth Stood Still", and at the very end of the commercial, they said "The only place where you can see the trailer for X-Men Origins: Wolverine"

Kind of surprised to see a trailer advertised as a selling point for a movie.

I guess you missed it when I posted about this same commercial in the teaser trailer thread on Monday. :csad: :oldrazz:

Yes. His lateness has been brought to his attention. :p

Um, okay. Never heared of it. Thanks for letting me know.

I just saw the trailer this evening and when I saw it my fangirl side justtook over. I couldn't shut up when Gambit first came on the screen(I was trying to explain to my dad about the trailer and why I was geeking out so bad.) My attention was half on the trailer and half on talking so,wouldn't ya know it, I missed when they showed his face on screen because at that point I think my head was turned, (I remember Wolvie saying"I know who you are, Gambit", but I didn't remember seeing it. Ugh! Major letdown. Unfortunately I had to see it online, so that's how I know, but, eh, I was only in it for Gambit anyway.), but I caught almost everything else.

When TDTESS started I had the biggest smile on my face like I'd never stop smiling. It was so crazy! (And that was just for the trailer. I can just imagine what my reaction will be when I see the actual movie! Screaming, squeeing, Gambit-t-shirt-wearing fangirl time!)In any case, the trailer looks really good and I think they movie will be awesome, too. I can't wait to see it!

It's so tough explaining the fangirl fangasms to those who don't get it. :p I squealed in my seat during X2 when Remy's name flashed on Stryker's computer. I did the same thing seeing Samual Jackson at the end of Iron Man. If you don't get it, they just look at us like we're nuts. :p

Oh, I wasn't explaining 'cause of that exactly. (He knows I'm an X-Men freak. Not so much a Gambit freak but he knows I love my X-Men.
I named my cockatiel Rogue after all.)
It was just because it was only a trailer and I was sitting there
going: "...It's the Wolverine movie...Wolverine from X-Men. (Gambit
scenes) It's Gambit! Wooh! He's my favorite X-Men character!...He's my favorite X-Men character EVER!!"
After a while I FINALLY shut up, but it was like my mouth had a mind
of it's own. I was surprised the people in front of us didn't get annoyed.
(I had to speak fairly normally because my dad doesn't hear so good.)
I still wish I'd seen that one scene on the screen where
he was grinning (I actually BARELY caught the part where he
was twirling his staff), but I'm sure I'll be very satisfied once I get to fully see it when the movie comes out.

Did I mention I was bouncing around (litterally!) excitedly in my seat, also?
If that doesn't say geeky fangirl, then I don't know what does.
I even put on my fingerless gloves for the trailer. (Eventhough
they aren't black...and they're cotton...and I got 'em from Wal-Mart.)

I didn't even call the theater today like I said I would because I didn't sleep good last night and first thing when I woke up my dad was all frazzled over something he'd lost, then I ended up volunteering myself to write phone numbers down in our adress book. I'm so glad it all worked out though. I don't get to the movies much, so to see Gambit on the big screen like that (Well, a little at least) was just awesome.
Hopefully I can go back and see it on the big screen, but I really doubt that'll happen. If my BFF were around it, might, but of course she got married and moved away.

I got to see trailer also and it looks they will use the James Howlett story cause you will the a body next kid-Logan and the body is wearing 19th century clothes. The Marvel characters notice in the travel were Gambit, Deadpool, The Blob boxing, Silver Fox, maybe Maverick in a group shot and a blond female turning silver (don't who). You can't they have Hugh doing some Wolverine signature move and poses like a him scraping his claws on the road while on his bike.

Jsut got back from The Day the Earth Stood Still, not a bad flick.

But the trailer for Wolverine was attached, and overall, I'm pretty impressed. So far it looks like my fears of Fox are unfounded. Pretty badass.

That was Emma Frost AKA The White Queen.

Dammit, I missed the bootleg that was posted on the main page.

Watched this on youtube...it was alright. I liked the Comicon trailer better. Just type in "wolverine and the day the earth" and it should bring one up.

I agree. The Wolverine trailer wasn't bad but, I didn't think it was great either. I also, liked the comiccon trailer better and I'm surprised that some consider this trailer to be one of the best ones ever. I can think of at least 20 trailers that got me more excited than this one. Of the trailers I've seen for 2009(1#Watchmen, #2, Star Trek, #3 Terminator) Wolverine ranks 4th for me in terms of quality and anticipation.

Well after a week of hyping the wolverine trailer up to all my friends I got 8 of em to come with me to the theaters to see the Day the earth stood still. It was so funny because they all know im a die hard x-fan, so every trailer that came up and it wasnt wolverine they would turn to me and say "Almost, there"

Finally once Wolvie trailer was up I shot straight up in my chair and was glued to the screen, few squeels came out when saw Gambit finally up on the big screen, and another at that final shot of Wolvie jumping onto that helicopter. I had all this built up tension that i let out this huge sigh of releif at the end that was a lot louder than I anticapated. haha

After that came out the entire audience started laughing and joined in clapping and shouting.

It was GREAT!
