I doubt it is the water. I am thinking it is the urine which gets built up and causes damage as maybe it is toxic over a certain quantity.

But I am no doctor.

Back when my friends and I were crazy youths, doing LSD as if it were Flintstones chewables, we used to have this thing called
"The Milk Can Wars"...where two dudes would square off, each trying to drink an entire antique milk can full of water.

Years later I hear about this phenomenon and:

a) Am amazed we all survived

b) Find it hard to believe that it's really fatal. I mean we drank Volkswagen's full of water.

Well, Wilhelm-Scream, I think it's along the lines of, if you're body has a certain weakness it will kill you. For example: some people will die if they eat peanuts, but most won't. Some people will die if they drink milk and take an asprin in close succession, some won't (it deteriorates the stomache lining). Some people will die from cigarette smoking, a few people don't.

I believe that the urine is the problem. A smaller woman who has a small bladder could overload it and the Urea etc. would be poisonous. Wow.

It said on the news that by drinking a lot of water it erased all her electrolytes.
