Yeah, but I don't think that's WW's kinda of style. Her and Sif operate in very different get-ups. Sif is more associated with
armor while Wondy with her powerset don't really need it, and is more of a non-armor kind of gal. Her wearing all that goes against her character.
I don't think this means the swimsuit is the only option. There just needs to be a sort of balance IMO.
Which is why I said I'd settle for a compromise. I
really don't want the bathing suit look. I'll take a frickin' X-Men-style re-costuming just to avoid the swimsuit, quite frankly. And by swimsuit, I mean both what Lynda Carter wore and what will be in that porn parody.
I like Sif's outfit refitted for Wonder Woman because that's exactly how I'd imagine an Amazon warrior to dress. And if you take into account historically accurate battle armor from areas around the Amazon back in ancient times, a version of Sif's outfit (probably minus the pants) would actually make sense.
However, there have been other pictures posted in this thread and others that also looked really good.
It's not so much Sif's specific outfit I'm referring to, as it is that I don't want a Wonder Woman movie to be tailored for horny 13-year-olds. I want it to be a serious, epic, dark portrayal, inline with Man of Steel (though better) and the general atmosphere WB and DC seem to be aiming for with their Justice League universe. So I want a costume that suits such an atmosphere, and I'm thinking something at least a
little closer to what Sif has on would fit that atmosphere better than what, frankly, amounts to little more than a stripper's outfit.
I want a Wonder Woman who is intelligent, powerful, independent, sure of herself, and goal-oriented. I want a Wonder Woman able to stand up to anything and everything. I very simply don't think the swimsuit/"classic look" portrays that very well at all. It really makes her look like a horny 13-year-old's wet dream. I can't think of any other description for it...
If she was fighting someone as powerful as her, of course she'd want to wear armor, especially armor that has been forged by Hephaestus, etc.
But of course, 'logic' shouldn't always be the number one reason for a costume. Just give us something that doesn't cause people to think of the WW costume as being ridiculous.
The traditional Amazon warrior outfit makes the most sense to me, at least for her solo movie. She could always have a different outfit when she's with the Justice League, out in space, etc.
(Captain America's had several outfits, for example. One for war times, one for 'superhero' stuff with The Avengers, etc)
There's an idea! Multiple costumes! She should have different outfits, or at least pieces of her main costume...

So we have the basic costume, which most people seem to want. But she could have additions that she adds depending on what's needed for the fight. The
full outfit could be something like what Sif has, but that would only be for, say, a major battle with someone as strong as her, or someone like Ares! See what I'm saying? So we'd usually see her in the classic outfit everyone wants, but for the big battle, she gears up with things to enhance her powers.
How about that?

Perhaps someone should advise Xena (and an assortment of female antogonists that Xena battled), Sif, Faora, Andromeda (Wrath of the Titans), Athena (Immortals) and to a slightly lesser extent, Queen Elizabeth (Golden Age), Brienne of Tarth (Game of Thrones), Alice (Wonderland) and Snow White (Huntsman).

People may think I'm weird, but I think that illustration of Sif is a hell of a lot sexier than the pic of Wonder Woman from the porn parody...
t:. She will most likely be the only female on the team, and will most likely be used for fanservice. Besides, Diana's always been about sex appeal. 
Wondy has been that and a bag of chips even with what you call a stripper costume. Its kind of her thing even though she's mostly been with that outfit through most of her years.
