Wordpad Issues

I cannot read documents saved on previous computers using Windows 7 Wordpad. I am fearing the worst here and that I just cannot read any text documents that were saved on any other wordpad program from previous Microsoft operating systems XP (My Desktop which needs repair) and Vista (My laptop which needs a new motherboard).

Documents as in .rtf .txt .docx .odt or some other format? They should work fine but it sounds like maybe you're missing something from the previous systems. Did you have Office on either of those but not Windows 7?
