Windows 7

ahh, just dont let them email you

i did that trail and they email me every week to buy it

im going to try out Windows Live first and if i like that email setup i wont bother with the office suite.

yea i found out you can get outlook from Windows Live
all you have to do is update it

yeah i ended up doing that. i've got two emails synced up to it now and can receive from both, but am having problems sending email out of the second one

I am trying to upgrade to windows 7 using the student upgrade, and I got to around 82% and it started going backwards! I paused it and tried searching possible solutions but found nothing. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!

are you doing a custom install (over vista) or the other kind of install?

the other one...and it says it's at like 4 billion percent! I am keeping it paused in fear.

mine took a while, so if you're worried about it time-wise, it shouldn't worry you too much.

not worried about how long it's going to take...just worried if it's a problem that the progress is going backwards. I was almost done with the install until it started going backwards. I had 30 minutes left and now it's more like 2 hrs 30 min

EDIT: screw this, I guess I'll just wait until my CD backup gets here in the mail...whenever it gets here.

for those who have 7, dont you just love the new custom themes
i could put 3 walls that rotate every 10 mins

heres a video that shows it

i really love how you can right-click things on the task bar and it shows you the most recent files/locations you visited

 read between the lines CC :o

yea you and 2 other people on the forum :hehe:

I absolutely love Windows 7! I like the clean interface, fast start up and 10 sec shutdowns and I think aero snap is really handy. Homerun for Microsoft after that crappy Vista. Fully recommend.

I got a netbook the other day and it has Windows 7 Starter. How in the hell do I change the wallpaper??? Talk about annoying!

Any one had a any success on workstation type pcs, I'm thinking about switching currently on vista 64.

It truth vista in runs fine and it's only a few of the new features of 7 which makes it seem worth crossing over.
