I'm Stuck on the Area 52 server with a Paladin Stuck in Southshore because he's not strong enough to do Shadowfang alone,.... and I HATE PUGS.

MEH.

I have two choices:

Swallow my prejudice,

or

Run Shadowfang untill I winkle thru to get the hammer.

(I figure the first will take 30 minutes not counting travel time,... the second will take two hours and I'll probably level to boot.)


Well,... I have the work day to decide.

Do you know any high level players to walk your pally through Shadowfang?

As for Vertigan's Fist, it's an awesome weapon to be sure, but you will eventually replace it anyway. With the revamped XP system, you can probably level to 40 with the time you spent on waiting for a group for Shadowfang.

Well,... I do know one guy on Area 52,... he has multiple 70's but I've made a point to only ask him for help in things that are impossible.

With patience and luck,... and about two hours I could do the part of Shadowfang needed.

Btw, I just got my druid to 68 and it's great to have a flight form early, because it gives you so much freedom. I'm currently saving up for epic flight and with 2 gathering professions, I hope I can make it in a couple of months, hopefully less.

So how many 70s do you guys have? I have a lvl 70 human pally, and I'm about to get my tauren druid to 70 as well (in 2 weeks probably, depending on my playing schedule). I'd have both alliance and horde characters at 70, and it's a nice perspective. I'll probably make Death Knight characters for both factions as well, and since DK is available to all races I'll have to decide on a good race for this hero class.

Believe it or not, I've only got one 70, and I've been playing since launch [and I only got to 70 about a week before Thanksgiving, no less]. I've also got, as of this post:

70 Tauren Shaman
45 Human Warrior
43 Orc Hunter
27 Troll Rogue Bank
64 Undead Priest
61 Belf Mage
29 Belf Paladin
35 Tauren Druid

I've not played her in months.

After I Quested her Engineering Flying machine,... I find myself Dabbling with other game type combinations.

She was my first female Paladin Engineer. She was configured as a "Jack" with a mix of buffs that allowed her to run into most places alone.

Ran Molten Core a coupla times before her Guild Self-destructed,.. not played her much since because she's feast or famine in the current game.

Either something can kill her very quickly,.. or it can't. Most things outside the instances can't do more than take up her time,... Most things in the OUTLAND instances can kill her if she goes in byherself.

You gotta kill 2 whateverlevel the early elites in that place are to get the hammer. I mean like, you pretty much have to on a pally, you can bubble up to it but before oyu get it you gotta kill these 2 hjorses.

That's alot of alts, and you have a couple of 60s that you can easily take to 70. I also play this game since launch (although I have quitted about 3 times but always came back), and I thought my pally was going to be the only character that I will take all the way. However, once I decided to switch to horde, I knew that I have to do the same for my druid. Aside from the druid, I think DK will be the other class to make it to 70, since he starts at 55 and bypassed many of the old grinding period.

I got as far as the jail cells and got munched by the elite and three mobs ganging up on me. thru multiple deaths I can kill the mobs,.. but the elite has a buff that takes my life points as his own as we fight and @ level 22 I can't recoop fast enough.

Meh,.. I'll try Again @ lvl23.

On Whisperwind and Area 52,.. we have butt loads of 70th lvl Warriors.

Depends where you are looking for them. Most warriors nowadays are in arenas, and you can't really find one if you are looking for a tank.

Just got my druid to 70 finally, and then I realized that there are many things I have to do, including farming 5k for the epic flight mount, get the gears for heroic instances (for my swift flight form), get pvp gears through BGs, and get CE faction to exalted. Since my play time on any given day fluctuates from 1 hour to at most 2-3 hours (excluding my day offs), it will be daunting for me to accomplish all these goals.

I think she has 200+ gold toward the 5K needed for the Epic Flying mount,... And I had not put her thru the initial quests to start her "daily's".

Yeah, I hear you. The easier part is to farm for that 5k, since I can do quests and dailies and sell what I farmed on the AH. But I found it hard to do instances, like the other day when I had 3 hrs. to play, and after one hour and still no group, I had to abort the attempt because 2 hours with a PUG will not be enough to finish an instance. I'm kind of optimistic about BGs, because I can do it when I have the time, and just leave when I don't. Doing heroics will be too hard because it requires instance-farming to get the gears, and I simply don't have the time for it.

If I cannot do the things I want with my druid, I may just start another alt and solo-questing to 70 again, since it is the most lenient for my erratic schedule. I begin to see MMO as a game more for people who have no kids and tons of free time to enjoy it to the fullest, which is something I no longer have.

Over at World of Warcraft website, they have released the talent calculators for all the classes (including Death Knight), for the upcoming expansion. I wonder if you guys have seen it or have any comments on it.

I have a 70 prot pally and a 70 feral druid (who might turn resto), and I like the talents so far. However, I will analyze them more later and maybe I'll change my opinion.

Btw, they have allowed you to sign up for WotLK beta if you have WWI and Blizzcon beta codes, and I have submitted my application. Hopefully I will get it confirmation in the email soon.

Blizzcon tickets have been opened for sale, but ever since this morning I've been having no luck purchasing the ticket due to a host of problems, such as account creation (they forced you to create a Blizzard account to buy tickets this time), and errors when you tried to log in to your new account and other frustrations. I've been to the previous two Blizzcon, and none of them had given me as much headache as this one has been. I really hope to still have a chance to buy the ticket, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed right now.

Well, the CC charge turns out to be only "pending" (whatever that means), I don't have the Blizzcon ticket. Blizzard released some tickets last night, but once again the site was a nightmare and I couldn't get my order to submit at the final stage, so I'm done. This experience has made me bitter toward Blizzard and WOW, and I felt little enthusiasm last night when I played the game. I might have to take a break from this game for awhile.

3. Who can afford to "Quad Box"??? I just heard about it and the only perk is you can go into high end instances and survive. I'd like to try it,.. but I don't want to spend an additional 40 bucks plus.
