X-23's Bio: Marvel Database

For those who don't know, X-23 was first made specifically for the animated series X-Men Evolution where she was featured in a few episodes as a Wolverine clone made by HYDRA. She was later introduced into the main X-Men comics where she has taken a prominent role since. Recently, she's made even more appearances, first by appearing in Wolverine & the X-Men (where she's foreshadowed to have a larger part later in the series) and with a cameo in Hulk vs Wolverine (where she's still a baby in one of the cloning chambers).

This makes me feel that the people at Marvel have really taken a shining to the character. Presuming she doesn't make a major appearance (or if she makes a very brief cameo in the vein of Hulk vs Wolverine), does this bode well for her eventual addition into subsequent X-Men movies (taking into account now that they won't have Hugh Jackman/Wolverine in the movies)?

Well they could bring her into the movies if they don't do that one of First Class with the orginal X-Men being younger.

First Class won't be about the original team, I think it will just focus on the younger members i.e. iceman, shadowcat.

Then why call it "First Class" if it's not about the first class?

That's the funny thing about all the push for a First Class novel... there's no way it can happen with the original comic line-up. It couldn't even happen with the younger kids of the movie-verse because, *gasp* they're not the first class.

The only movie we'd ever see of First Class is with Storm, Beast, Cyclops, Jean, and probably someone else like Banshee or Morph or something. Not Morph, 'cause he'd be too similar to Mystique. But you get the point.

I can't see X-23 making a feature film debut in an X-Men series film for a loong time, because she's far too similar to Wolverine, the current money-maker. I would think that there'd be a better chance to see her in the next inevitable Wolverine sequel, though.

Because you are taking it too literally iceman, shadowcat, and colossus are all still students. Also, it just wouldnt make sense to have the original lineup. Iceman is too young, and they met Angel in X3.

Well, considering Josh Schwartz was the one offered to write the script, it might suggest that the movie could focus more on the school/social issues of X-Men. So, maybe the movie might be set post-X3 about a new generation of mutants who have face new challenges and pressures?

Erm... wouldn't that be more of an incentive to have her in if they can't get Hugh Jackman/Wolverine back into the main franchise?

if she showed up anywhere I'd say it would be in a Wolverine sequel.

I agree that her first appearance (if ever) will be in a Wolverine-related movie. However, all it would need is a cameo. What's debatable is whether her first major role would be in a Wolverine movie or an X-Men movie.

Hm. I hadn't really entertained the reality of this until I saw the trailer for the upcoming Wolverine computer game. It has a line where someone (Stryker, I think) is saying that they have Wolverine's DNA, and so don't really need him anymore. If the game runs along the same path as the movie, this definitely makes it a possibility.

well, ever since she had a marvel legends figure come out before psylocke!!!!!! i havent been a fan.

the girl's been around for like 2 years and gets a toy? and other people----decades of exposure mind you---continue to get shafted? not cool.

Maybe if they zapped Psylocke's consciousness into a clone thing of Wolverine she'd be more popular. (Heavy on the sarcasm).

Yeah. It's bit much.
