Comics World War Hulk: X-Men

Yeah, but one gotta admit, plans and tactics have an easier time working while you're, hum, the strongest brawler on a planet.

Why can't the X-Men just let Kitty phase the Hulk's brain out? He at least needs some time to recover from that.

I guess that it's too much to ask the writers to write characters who are supposed to use their brain, they are more experienced with writing characters dealing things with muscles and fists.:whatever:

When something that big and powerful suddenly charges at you, basic reactions take hold. Can you outthink a tank that's suddenly in your face? Even worse, can you take hold of it when it's also very agile? Kitty could kill the Hulk, but it's as hard as riding a wild bull.

Wrong. In the early incarnations Hulk could speak full sentences. He sounded more like a lower class thug from Brooklyn.

Now they're all fighting a Hulk who's had to learn strategy to survive in Sakaar.

Right! lol

I was just being a smartass anyway. I just think Hulk is being a bully as of late; as opposed to an angry ex-lover/father to be/etc avenging his planet. He hasn't used any strategical moves yet. He's just smashing.

If I could make myself intangible, I'm pretty sure I could by myself a lot of time to "think"

If you're talking about on Sakaar, Hulk wasn't the strongest.
If you're talking about on Earth, well.

Sure, you can think, while your friends are getting stomped one-by-one. Being intangible also makes it harder to firmly grab hold to what your targeting. And if you make one mistake, you can forget grabbing that bull by the horns, because you'll be smashed instantly.

In fact, the smartest thing to do would be to run. So run X-Men. Just run away.

Well I guess all those years of training at Xavier's would have come in handy ;)

No, it's a wrestler. The guys in the wrestling thread have a running gag. His breasts are so disgusting lol.

maybe the guy from biggest loser is a wrestler now..cuz i'd swear it was him...those are breasts? udders or meat flaps are more like it

Earth, of course.

The guy's practically indestructible. Him gloating about being better "tactician" would just be ridiculous.

Wait?! He has a brain?!

Maybe she will start whining like she does in the movies. Hulk take that beyootch apart.

Maybe. After he does it to Logan. heh.

Has Logan ever gotten an asswhipping like that before?

Yea, Magneto, classic Juggernaut, the Sentry, and Gladiator (off panel) owned him. Hulk has never been able to give him a beat down like that before though.

I was kind of suprised to see Wolverine leap right into Hulk's grip like that becouse hes never done that before.

Hulk has the reach advantage...Wolverine had to get within grabbing distance to get at his eyes. As someone else pointed out, Wolvie didn't realize that X23 had tried a similar tactic not long before and Hulk was ready for it. If he hadn't been, the pain of losing his eyes probably would have distracted him long enough for Wolvie to jump back out of reach.

Best,
CNG

Hell, even Ord and Danger owned Wolvie in a brawl.

If I recall correctly, Danger's interface mentioned something about his face being his weakness. You do the math. :D

Man so it takes ALL the X-teams to take down Hulk and even then it doesnt quite look like thats going to happen. They need to think up some actual strategy fast

If I were Emma, I'd have run inside, slapped on that Cerebra helmet, asked for help from those Stepford girls (unless I missed something in Warsong), and given Hulk the ultimate mental whammy.

Mind whammy not supposed to work on Emo Hulk since he's off-the-charts EMO.

Yeah.

When I saw the last panel I nearly laughed my ass off. If Hulk demolished Collossus and Juggernaut what the hell can Strong Guy do? What is Nightcrawler going to do? Preach the gospel?

Oh, so brute strength is all that matters? No wonder you're a DBZ/Wolverine fan. :whatever:

Juggernaut wasn't that powered up, by the way. Which is why he went down so quickly. But let's see, let's field your question.

Do you even know what Strong Guy's power is? Now, mind you, it's been awhile since I've seen his powers in gear, but if they are what they were in the original X-Factor series, he can take concussive force and turn it into more muscle mass for increased strength and durability. Kinda like Bishop can funnel energy into his own power. This effectively means that Guido can funnel the damage Hulk gives him and turn it back around, assuming he stays up.

Did you know that Nightcrawler can teleport? That's what all the purpley smoke that's often around him means, FYI. Teleporting plus multiple strikes, but now would be a phenomenal time for us to see Nightcrawler with swords again. :woot:

Other people there: Siryn (sonic screams; shut up, Outcry), Monet (plethora of physical upgrades), Warpath (uber knives and plethora of physical upgrades), Darwin (adaptation), Hepzibah (probably wouldn't hesitate to try and eat Hulk, since she's a savage and all), and, well, Madrox can hogpile Hulk. We need to see a 300 spoof like in X-Factor #20. :woot: :woot: :woot: And it's probable that Juggernaut will be back up in the fight. Maybe.

So, yeah, lots of smashing, on a higher scale than Emma/Colossus/Beast could do on their own.

That was my first impression too. Then I thought, what if Nightcrawler teleported Hulk up into space again. Just a really quick series of teleportations while touching the Hulk. Just enough to send him floating out into space temporarily. I'm not sure what the others could do, compared to what the first two teams failed at, but I'm especially interested in what Darwin is capable of, going up against the Hulk... And what the hell happened to Juggernaut's powers?
