Worst action scenes

I thought the Matrix Revolution fight was great, it's the main reason I pull out that movie to watch. However, I thought the Neo vs. 100 Agent Smiths fight in Reloaded was a little dull. It was great at first, but then it just felt like it dragged on longer then it should have.

Batman Begins- Cut way too quickly, I get that we're supposed to get the idea that Batman fights really fast and is brutal, but they don't have to do it for every single fight.

Yoda vs. Count Dooku- I started LMAO when Yoda went crazy on Dooku and was bouncing around the room and flipping all over. It just didn't feel right.

sorry, i disagree... i just don't have the energy to go into it, but suffice it to say that there was NOTHING wrong with the 'super-burly brawl' in revolutions... sure, maybe it didn't live up to all your hopes and dreams, but that hardly makes bad. there was nothing bad about it.

Its not that it didn't live up to my hopes and dreams, its that it didn't live up to anything they have done previous to that...you can go after me all you want, and for valid reason, but the fact remains that every fight previous to that in the matrix saga is far superior, and that is the climatic 'this means everything' 'this is for human kind' battle, is nothing more than Mew v Mewtwo

Dissapointing to me? Very, dissapointing to everything else Matrix? Unbelivebley

- Mace Windu vs. Palpatine
- Obi-Wan vs. Count Dooku
- Anakin vs. Count Dooku (Attack of the Clones)
- Matt Murdock vs. Elektra (Both of them)

well, as much as i'd like to argue with you... the fact that you have "smokin' aces'" in your top five of the year pretty much proves my point for me... so... yeah.

Kirk and Picard VS Soran in Star Trek: Generations, William Shatner + Patrick Stewart + Malcolm McDowell = a really really sad and anti-climatic fight scene between 3 old guys :(

I agree with you that those weren't exactly good, but worst ever?

^Not really, I guess.
On these threads, I just list whatever bad ones pop in my head.

Poison Ivy vs Batgirl in 'Batman and Robin'.
Batman vs Mr.Freeze in 'Batman and Robin'

The climactic fight between Liu Kang and Shao Khan in Mortal Kombat: Annihilation. Those animalities were clay-tastic!

Hulk vs Absorbing Dad in Hulk. I had no idea what happened at the end of that one. "Did he just turn into an energy cloud??? F%ck this movie blows!"

The big Ghost Rider/Blackheart "fight".

Roddy Piper vs Keith David in They Live. It's like 20 minutes of "Try on the glasses!" "NO!" Punch, punch, kick. "Now will you try on the glasses?" "NOOOOO!" Punch, punch, kick, kick, etc.

Any of the fistfights in either Every Which Way But Loose or Any Which Way You Can.

Remember that Martin Lawrence movie, National Security? The last action scene was dumb, over the top (in a bad way), and ridiculous!

Kirk and Picard VS Soran in Star Trek: Generations, William Shatner + Patrick Stewart + Malcolm McDowell = a really really sad and anti-climatic fight scene between 3 old guys :(

lol :D

But it was both believable and quite exciting. You did genuinely believe Picard and Kirk were in danger and that they might now stop Soran in time. It's less ambitious and spectacular, but more satisfying than the Burly Brawl, for instance.

I would have to say the football fight scene in Romeo Must Die is probably the worst action scene I've ever seen. The wire work was embarassingly bad and out of place in that scene (and just about everywhere else in that movie).

wtf. It says action scenes. Are fights action scenes? I thought action scenes were when some guy was running away from big explosions. All of those suck in movies.

edit: never mind. first post mentions fights too.

Worst fight, I guess all the ones in x3 count. They were crap.

FF has it share as well.

Ooooo, mr big shot "L0ngsh0t likes smokin aces his taste in movies must suck" Yeah I really liked it sure, but just take a step back and think about how many possible movies would I have seen, and would smokin aces be better than them...the answer is the only other movies I have seen that are 2007 release besides the ones I have listed are TMNT, Ghost Rider, and No. 23....and honestly you can say what you want about Smokin Aces, I did love it...but seriously it destroys those other three GR and No. 23 might be two of the worst movies i have ever seen

And Revolutions/ the final fight in revolutions still sucks imo cause you have done far to little to convince me other wise

on the other hand the freeway chase in Reloaded might be one of the best actions scenes ever, so it evens out a bit for the Matrixs, not to mention the famous lobby scene

Getting away from fights, and onto an action scene. In Transporter 2 when Frank flips the car over to knock of the bomb.

Granted the movie isn't as good as the first, but the action (fights and driving) were pretty good. (With the exception of the woman shooting the helicopter and it just explodes in bad animation.)

But the flip was just too over the top. There's no reason they couldn't have used an exciting, less unrealistic, method to get rid of the bomb.

I thought you hated Star Trek!

My brother told me about the infamous barrell roll after seeing it. We both cracked up for like 2 whole minutes.

Looking back on it now, the Vader vs. Obi-Wan saber fight in ANH is pretty painful to watch.
HOW DARE YOU, THAT IS A CLASSIC. I WILL SHUN YOU FOR DISMISSING THE FIRST EVER TRUE LIGHTSABER DUEL.
