Worst Case Scenario: Back-up Plan for the Failure of Banjo Kazooie 3.

You don't know what you're talking about, as is evidenced by you saying controllers can't be used to control shooters, while they are in fact quite intuitive.

I didn't say that at all. In fact, knowing that you would misinterpret what I said, I added a disclaimer.

And Zack and Wiki could easily be done with analoque sticks and button presses.

No, I don't think so. Neither does the entire gaming press. I respectfully disagree.

Hahahaha are you kidding? :woot: Yeah, moving characters around in a 3D-world has never been done before on a controller. And those puzzles where you slide blocks around and rotate them? Just use the puzzle minigame mechanic from Banjo Kazooie and have a "press button to rotate" function. Cranking levers could just be analogue stick rotations. I mean, the whole game looks like it's trying to be an over-compensating justification for the Wii having that controller, but no mechanics I've seen so far couldn't (or haven't) been done on a control pad.

I wouldn't do that if I were you. WHF has the power to ban you from Gamer Rejects :o

SupahSayinGirl thinking I'm an anemic 15 year old really doesn't mean a thing to me. I doubt anyone I care about really cares either.

Anemic?

I've seen your pictures, you seem like a very healthy looking non-virgin hot-blooded American young man.

This really means that his feelings were hurt :csad:

I demand that SupahSayingirl appologize for her hurtful comments :cmad:

You're not looking close enough. My pure, virgin spirit shines through my eyes.

No, I really don't mind at all. I don't think I've ever had my feelings hurt over something on the internet and I'm not about to start now. Especially since I have truly zero respect for SupahSaiyinGirl.

What picture did she see? You're not 95 lbs-looking.

...

Not riding your pole or anything.

I'm leaving

Look, I don't know what the hell SupahSaiyinGirl saw or what her thoughts on health are. I'm pretty sure she's over 200 pounds as she's a DBZ fan, a Rayman: Raving Rabbids fan AND a female, so her skewed views on physiology are the least of my concern.

Why? Would you **** her if it wasn't? Seriously, that **** is disgusting either way.

Ugh her? Dude that's a man thing all the way.:csad:

I see my point went over your head. As I tried to make clear, I wasn't talking about the one-dimensional replacement of a gesture over a button press (as you seem to be thinking), but rather how an advance in control scheme allows for the re-thinking of game design, the "shooting range" being an analogy. I've also tried to relate this discussion conceptually to the PC, where entire genres flourish because of the mouse. The RTS, for example, is a natural fit for the mouse but isn't conducive to an analogue control scheme, which may or may not be one of the reasons for the genre being underrepresented on traditional consoles. In the same way, a game like Zack and Wiki is a natural fit for the Wiimote but isn't conducive to an analogue control scheme. I could talk specifics, and if you should like, we can continue this discussion via PM. That's reasonable enough, I should think.

As for insulting Miyamoto, couldn't resist sneaking in flamebait, eh? What can I say? I'm through with the petty quibbles, but if I may say so, I feel quite confident in supporting Miyamoto and Nintendo and letting their work speak for them (:wow:). So yes, please do call Miyamoto "mediocre" and "overrated," you'll hear nothing from me.
Haha, you think you're capable of writing things that could go over somebody's head? That's cute :o

So basically, your entire argument is that because FPS games exist on the PC (while ignoring that they exist on consoles), and because RTS games exist on the PC (while ignoring that they also exist on consoles), we should look at games existing on the Wii, ignore the fact that they also exist on other consoles, and claim that they could not possibly be done on other consoles. Incredible. Your irrationality in support of Nintendo has truly opened up a whole new world of debate for you. I can only imagine where your total disregard for things like "avoiding contradictions" and "making sense" will take you. And let's not even get into the wonder of how you managed to read "Miyamoto is overrated" and then proceeded to counter this with "look, here's a link of him being overrated!" without having some sort of stroke.

One day, you're going to realize that you're talking about video games, not running for public office, and stop the pseudo-intellectual crap. Jesus, you offered WHF your "bookmarked literature", get a grip.

I try, but I can't find anyone who's better at digging into people than GFreeman.
