With 2019 now firmly behind us I thought this would make for an interesting topic since we already have one for The Best Movie of 2019. We need to balance that out and see what's at the other end of the spectrum .

Will get us started with a list of a few to pick from (also I haven't just chosen these randomly went through a few different list of worst 2019 movies to get a rough sort of baseline)

As always if there's a movie you want me to add the poll please just drop a comment.

Most of the movie choices are just meh or boring but not really bad, well except maybe Cats..

For me, it was the Zac Efron Ted Bundy movie. That movie was very generic and boring, but it almost seemed to treat Ted Bundy like Rubin Hurricane Carter in the Denzel Washington movie. That movie did not do enough to make Ted Bundy look bad. It was very weird, very off-putting, and very misguided. Total disaster.

Added it to the list for you now

Yeah, I wouldn't call it the worst movie of the year but it definitely didn't work. Efron was good but the film didn't seem to know what it wanted to be. It felt like it was trying to do the whole "did he or didn't he" thing with Bundy, and show how charming he supposedly was in an effort to hoodwink the audience into thinking, "Hmmm... what if he was innocent?" But that doesn't really work because we ALL know he was guilty. Maybe that approach could have worked with a lesser known serial killer case, but it is what it is. The bizarrely lighthearted approach didn't even work that well because at times it was just dull. I think I even dozed off a couple times.

Worst to me is movies that had high expectations and really missed the mark on all fronts. So for that, it has to be Cats based on everything I’ve read and heard.

It very well could be Cats but I didn't see it so I can't really vote for something I didn't see.

I haven't seen Cats, and still haven't seen Dark Phoenix, The Goldfinch, The Kitchen or The Hustle, but if the Jacob's Ladder remake is on here and that went straight to VOD than Doom: Annihilation also deserves to be on here as well IMO. That is easily the worst film I saw last year by far.

I thought See You Yesterday was pretty atrocious

I couldn't get to Cats and had no strong desire to see it anyway. Hellboy was wretched.

It has to be Hellboy. That was piece of trash all over the place.

Loqueesha or The Reliant. It's a close one...

Midway was pretty bad. I went in with tempered, Pearl Harbor-level expectations. Nope, still too high. Emmerich is such a hack who continuously gets big budgets thrown at him.

Right now the "Top" 3 worst films I've seen all year are
1) Joker
2) Under The Silver Lake
3) Light of my Life.

Of these choices I've only see Brightburn and Extremely Wicked, the former I agree is awful, but the latter wasn't bad, IMO.

Hellboy and Men in Black International are the worst I've seen of 2019 releases.
Of the two Hellboy is worse.
