Worst Line In A "Batman" movie ever!

Half of the lines spoken in Batman and Robin

I think the line I picked tops this (negatively)!

The scene would've been much better if phony "Bruce Wayne" would have said "Sometimes you just can't get rid of a bomb".

That's funny!

"Do you know what happens to a toad when it's struck by lightning?"

[Pause]

"The same thing that happens to everything else."

You've achieved the dream of most posters, my friend; you have completely forgotten (or repressed) Batman & Robin.

WELL!

Batman & Robin does not try to be serious but batman Return wants to be deep. Desperately. So this pretentious and wannabe intellectual sentence must be mentioned.

That guys delivery on the "oh no! boiling acid!" line makes me laugh like an idiot every time I hear it. And regardless of whether it was taking itself seriously or not, which at times it definitly WAS, 99% of Batman & Robin's script was worse than the original posters pick.

The worst lines are inside that vault.

"Hey! Hey, that's my HEARING AID!"

Mmm. Tough call. I'd say if we're debating which line was worst when spoken by in a film that actually could have been good, I would say the "Eat floor, high fiber." line from Returns was worst. Thats just so... well, dishonourable to all that poor Michael Keaton did in the first film.

As for worst line spoken in a movie that is all crap and had/has little to no potential, yeah, thats a toss up between:
"THYZAGE!" (Spoken by Arnie in response to his own question about what killed the dinosaurs. Honestly, if we didn't know the answer already, we might have concluded that the dinosaurs had instead overdosed on a drug by the name of Thyzage.)
and
The whole stems and buds discussion between Batman and Robin in Freeze's lair. Yikes that stuff is...pitiful at best. *shudder*

Although I'm happy this kind of thing has been relegated to its own thread, it's still just Parents-Gun-Bat carrying on his vigil to destroy all praise of Batman Returns by being (he thinks) clever.

No matter how much one hates BR, to say that a clever line like "I Mistook me for someone else" is worse than "What killed the dinosaurs? The ICE AGE!" is so blinded by their bias, they need mental help.

So the BR line is not to your liking. To say it's worse than the totally and completely unclever lines in B&R is pathetic in my book. I'll take something depth can be read into over lame puns any day.

I think PGB is proof that needs to be remembered when people try and say "there is nobody "picking on" the Burton fans." Because PGB's post are undeniably that of a person who, for some reason, can't get over the fact that people don't hate the Burton films as he does, and is going to go out of his way to shove his anti-Burton opinion in everyone's face, and thinks he'll get away with it because although he has a right to his opinion, he thinks he gets to trumpet it like he's some kind of rebel. He himself has practically admitted, he just can't stand to see people getting along.

And at a time when "Burtonites" and "Nolanites" are starting to finally get along, we don't need someone driving a wedge back between the two. Because Burton fans who won't put up with his crap get mistaken by the majority as "bullies who can't move on", and the Nolan fans who lecture them back think they're doing the right thing, never realizing that the Burton fans didn't do anything other than defend what they like.

It's happened before, it may yet happen again.

It's rogue elements like PGB that tend to keep the fight between factions of Batman fans alive. He and the others just need to accept that others are more mature and acceptive of multiple interpretations, so grow up and let it the Hell go.

The whole stems and buds discussion between Batman and Robin in Freeze's lair. Yikes that stuff is...pitiful at best. *shudder*

Oh come on...in context, that was pretty funny. And played completely straight.

"I'll get drive thru."

Cringe everytime.

Same here.

Great opening with the booming score and the flying titles to Batman suiting up and making his way to the Batmobile with the score still flying fitting the mood perfectly and it's all ruined when he says that line. At least for me.

"I'm Batman" Clooney delivered that line poorly.

I vote for

"I mistook me for someone else" (Batman Returns)

That's bad!

As Doc said, if you think that line is worse than say "You are not sending me to the cooler!" then you might possibly need to seek mental help. Preferably psychoanalytic client-centered therapy.

Oh, good christ. You reminded me.

"Surf's up!"

"You called me here for this? The Bat-Signal is not a beeper."

This line has always bugged me cause really the Bat-Signal is a beeper essentially. Its used to summon Batman, just like a beeper used to be used to contact someone.
