I see what you're doing. The most disappointing films on the list aren't necessarily the worst films. Terminator 3, for example, was a huge disappointment mainly because it's predecessors were so good. As a stand alone film it's at least average.

True, on its own it was entertaining, but as a Terminator film it sucks.
Though most of these films do suck on their own.
AOD for example, is one of a few listed which is ok on it's own.

The Matrix Revolutions. Just thinking about that movie pisses me off.

Superman 3, what a piece of crap. BF, SM-3 and X-Men 3 were so much better than that.

As a life long Spider-Man fan, SM3 was beyond disappointing for me.

Heck it was plain embarrassing, I felt like walking out the theatre more than once.
Script was a cluttered mess, Gwen and Venom’s inclusions were pointless and Brock was done completely wrong and had no character development.
That’s only the beginning though, even the CGI looked ropey.
Raimi has gotta go.

It should have been called Myspace the movie.
Ugh.

Ghost of Frankenstein is awesome, and does not suck at all.
It’s actually my favourite of the series.

Army of Darkness is on there because it was a departure from the series’ hallmark horror, and a let down for many of the original fans. If you were actually a fan of the ED films because of the horror, it is easily the weakest of the three.

All the films on this list suck or where a huge disappointment. I’m just curious as to which people think suck the most and/or were the most disappointed with.

Ok....why would it be called Myspace the movie again...I don't get that reference?

What is the criteria for this? Which threequel is the biggest disappointment? Or is it a question of quality. Even if you hate Spiderman 3, it's still of a higher quality than every other movie on there. Am I really supposed to believe Spiderman 3 is worse than Critters 3?

The films so far are not dissapointments box office-wise at all. Pirates, Shrek, and especially Spidey are doing great.

X-Men 3. This time it's personal.

On the Army of Darkness thingie, I agree, it shouldn't be there. However for the first I saw it I was like "Wtf?" because it wasn't like the first two and I felted it was bit too comedic. After few times I accepted it as how it is. I still think it's bit too comedic, but it ain't nowhere near the crapness of X3, SM3 or BF. Or some others on the list.

Plus, I've never seen Rambo III in full (the old VHS my friend has ends in the scene where Rambo is getting the arrow out of his leg (or something like that) but as far as I've seen it it wasn't bad. And I've heard only positive things about it so I think it's another should-not-be-on-the-list.

I really don't get how anyone can "hate" Spiderman 3. It's really no different than the other two movies to me? All the movies had cheese and changes to the character from the comics. I don't see why people have a problem? Oh well....different strokes for different folks.

anyone who voted for Spider-Man 3 or X-Men 3 or Pirates 3, or hell, almost any of the other 3's over Jaws, Critters, Robocop, and Superman is a f**king idiot :o

If you hate SM3, fine. I personally think it was too convoluted but it worked as a good film and I don't think Gwen Stacy's character was forced. She was simply the "other woman" and fanboys thought she'd have a huge role because of her name.

As for Brock, you have a point but I think that the dooplenganger angle is far better than his comic book counterpart and that Grace gave a good enough performance he helped make up for his limited screentime. Same with Church. But they both cut into the other's storyline and scenes causing neither to get the focus or character development they needed. I agree it hurt it.

But I personally think SM3 was a good movie and like AOD wil lbe accepted as a good movie down the road, but unlike AOD it won't be realizedas the best of the series, because it isn't. But AOD is. And I stand by that Raimi should do one more. Too many storylines was Avi Arad, not Sam Raimi.

Anyway, even if you hate it, which I cna't convince you otherwise by its sevre disappointment...

THERE IS NO WAY THAT IT IS WORSE THAN JAWS 3. HAVE YOU SEEN THAT MOVIE?! Have you SEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN it? It is one of the worst movies ever made. So is Halloween and F13 Part III. So is Robocop 3, Rambo III, Alien 3, etc.

And for sure fanboy disappointment X3 should be far greater as it had all of SM3's problems but amplified with no character development, no good acting (even McKellan seemed bored to tears), no plot whatsoever as opposed to too much of one and too many characters who weren't developed at all (WTF was angel doing in that movie other than serving as SFX).

Not to mention any inner-fanboy should be more disappointed or angry with Superman III, Batman Forever or Alien 3 or Terminator 3 given their pedigree from the previous two each.

Oh and Ghost of Frankenstein had a mad assistant put his mind in the monster who then went blind and started talking and blew himself up.....yeah compared to the brilliance that was James Whale's two Frankenstein films (Bride of Frankenstein being a work of art) not only was it disappointing but compared to even House of Frankenstein or House of Dracula, it was the worst in the series.

I thought, anyway.

Personally I don't count X3 in there, because even though it's not that great of a film... I loved the beginning scene and it's relation to the whole X-Men universe metaphor, it was the best metaphor scene in the trilogy- in my opinion.

X-Men 3 is so bad it sickens me. It's not a movie, it's just a studio's method of making money.

Exactly, exactly, exactly.....wait! Alien 3?! Alien 3 is awesome! Have you not seen the 2003 cut? It's superb.

Just watched Robo3 last night to make sure, and it is pretty bad.

it seems x-men 3 wins for worst of the threequels, with Batman forever, robocop 3 and superman 3 tied for second

I watched X3 today for the first time in a long time. It's not as bad as I remember it was...
My vote is for Superman 3, though I did like Annette O'Toole's version of Lana Lang.
