I thought about this for awhile before going to bed and I couldn't come to a decision. They're both superb films, so I'm going to have to think this one over for a couple of days.

Logan is probably a top 5 CBM. Definitely a top 10 at the very least. TDKR is just a loud and disappointing rehash of both BB and TDK

How exactly was it a "rehash"? Because they brought back the LOS? I don't see how thats anymore a rehash than Winter Soldier bringing back HYDRA or Return of the Jedi bringing back the Death Star.

I find Logan overrated but it is definitely the better film.

Think he's referring to Bane toppling Gotham for ideological reasons and another Al Ghul being the twist "we didn't see coming".

this must be a tough time for you and your family. You have my support with whatever decision you come to, pal.

Similar to Turkish Airlines, who's 5 star service is so top of the line that some consider it to be a myth.

This. The entire climax with Talia and chasing her to stop a macguffin from destroying Gotham is just BB all over again. Only difference is BB had Liam Neeson

I'll have to pick TDKR by a very slim margin. Logan was full of outstanding character moments and fight scenes, but it was driven by another fanatic mutant hater hunting mutants. Donald Pierce was slightly less developed than Bane, which gives TDKR the slightest of edges.

Bane could have been a top 5 CBM villain, but they fumbled the ball at the 1 yard line and gave us the craptastic Talia at the last.minute instead. Just awful and totally wasted Bane

For me Logan comes close to being the best ever cbm - I still rate TDK a little higher because the ending is both uplifting and tragic, unlike Logan's which is just tragic. ( GOTG is a better feelgood movie, but for straight up tragedy nothing beats Logan).

However, Logan is streets ahead of TDKR, although I feel that TDKR had a better ending - but otherwise Logan is vastly superior.

Logan hit me on an emotional level, for the first time I actually felt something for Logan as a character - who's just been a grumpy ******* for most of the X-movies. I've never felt sad for him before, but this movie really got me.
This vulnerable Logan was a revelation, and I hope some award recognition is forthcoming.

Eh, I didn't like the way Bane was killed but we still got two good fights between him and Batman and he was the dominant villain throughout. I thought they did fine with him. My only real issue with the movie was the whole thing with trapping ALL the cops in the sewers for months. That was so ridiculously stupid.

I like TDKR quite a bit, but what they did with Bane at the end is inexcusable.

How exactly could they have "wasted Bane" if he was the dominant villain of the movie? Doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

I do think Logan is a more consistent and overall "less flawed" film.

Personally, I still prefer TDKR because it's more of what I look for in a superhero movie. An emotional rollercoaster with big spectacle and big emotion. And the ending is so bittersweet, yet triumphant. I walked out of the theater on cloud 9 with how beautifully that ending came together.

Logan nailed exactly what it was going for, but for me it's a bit more one-note and depressing. It's not a movie I see myself watching countless times, whereas I think the TDK Trilogy as a whole is something I'll continue watching for years to come.

So yeah, short version- Logan is probably the better film, but I love TDKR more. I probably should've voted for Logan based on how the poll question is phrased but...it's doing pretttty well for itself, doesn't need my help. :cwink:

Because we are led to believe he was the mastermind, and then last minute turns out he is a lackey who gets shot by Catwoman and killed like he was nothing, despite being the villain all movie. Horrible way to end the character and it makes everything he did in the movie sort of moot

All of this could not be further from the truth, especially "Bane being a lackey" just because he was revelaed as not being the child of Ras Al Ghul.

I feel this is very much a knee jerk reaction.

Logan by far. TDKR felt like they crammed two Batman movies together. And there was more problems I had with TDKR than Logan.

I agree.

I liked TDKR more overall, even if its flaws are more obvious.

I like both and they're very different movies, but I went with Logan.

That's your opinion, but Bane's death is barely on screen and he dies just as they torch is passed to Talia. In other words, we do not need you anymore now the twist is revealed, good day sirs! Hated it, and ruins Bane

Once again, there's no proof that he is a servant. It's just the wrong word to use.

What? Killed him? Somebody had to do it. It wasn't going to be Batman. A sudden death may not be "fair" but that's life.
