Worst store you've been to?

Most of the time I go into Gamestop, the employes either ignore me completely or they try and shove one of their stupid "Edge Cards" down my throat. And one time I asked one of the employes to help me find a game, "Oh well, we're too busy right now".

One time I went into a EB Games to trade in a PC game, a game I had brought from that very store. Well, they wouldn't take it because one of the discs was missing{which there wasn't}. And all because there was an extra spot in the case.

Vengance is best served cold.

Oh lulz.

"Remember me?!".
Then proceed into getting her fired.

K-Mart. It's really just the definition of "****hole".

Big Lots. Dirty, small, hot, full of weird ass people....never again.

Oh, I got one. Double Whammy.

The McDonalds INSIDE the Wal-Mart.

"Ma'am may I please get some ketchup?"

The woman stares at me.

"Ketchup please?"

Continues to stare, I'm right in front of this girl. She speaks english because I ordered from her (another story)

"CAN I PLEASE HAVE SOME DAMN KETCHUP."

She turns around and throws me some packets.

It's just like, dude you are right in front of me. Why are you just standing there not responding AT ALL!!! lol.

Convenience Stores. Mainly, there's one in particular which is (conveniently) located by my apartment. What's the problem with this place? Well, guess what?... There's kids that are constantly hanging around that area. Now, I'm talking about those annoying ass, spoonfed, spoiled mother ----ers with their skateboards, and their 120GB iPods, and their fancy clothes, and their ignorant attitudes. Nobody wants to hear that ----. If you think you guys are so hot----, go do something useful for the world. Plant some trees. Mow some lawns. Get a ----ing job. Work at it. Stop worrying about your dumbass friends. Get a life. And, most importantly, get out of my face, because I'm trying to buy some ----ing orange juice from this ----ty-ass convenience store. What don't you ----ing understand?

-Thank you.

What do the kids say to you?

I use to be one those annoying little kids. Minus being spoiled rich.

All that is true but the occasional treasure is there, as weird as it sounds. I've found some rare toys and usually expensive DVD sets for very little $$ in there.

Let's just say... They like to curse a lot (via my post), while adding even more useless words into the text like: "like", "dude", "so". Ugh, cut me a break. What the hell ever happened to parents teaching their kids about how to respect others? Or, better yet, why don't we have classes in schools on just simply how to respect and treat people?... Ugh... I weep for the future. :o

I agree with you here. I feel a mixture of sorrow and anger when I hear kids who can't even make it through a single sentence without cursing, slang, or colloquialisms. I wonder how (or maybe if is the proper word) they are going to make it through school and get a job.

Most of them just don't give a damn. Either it's because their spoiled (Those bastards I hate, can't wait until the day comes when they can't afford to pay for rent. Maybe then they'll see some value in life.) or they just have no authority figures at their sides. I feel sorry for the ones who have no one to look up to. It all comes down to their parents. Talk to your damn children. Don't just feed them breakfast, lunch and supper, then send them on their way. That's only part of your damn jobs... Ugh, I feel like I'm running for President. Only I'm in last place. :o

It could be a phase they can grow out of. Not all of them maybe. Like I said, I use to be a little skateboarder kid sitting outside 7-11. Didn't really mess with people to much, but still.

Just sayin'...

Sounds like my high school:D

Yeah, I got a friend of mine who's every other word is "****in'". He says it no matter where he is. Even when there are little kids. I tell him to pipe down or stop swearing for 5 minutes and he gets all offended. *Sigh*

As for terrible stores?

Last week my friend and I were driving and randomly seen this store called "The Toy Chest" or something like that. Being geeks, we figured we'd take a look and perhaps we'd stumble upon some cheap SW or Indiana Jones figures. You know, maybe this store was a hidden gem.

Nope.

It. Was. Terrible.

They had dollar store toys that they were selling at triple the price. The store looked like it was abandoned years ago. It was a mess. We went to their action figure "aisle" and all they had was a Chow Yun Fat figure from the 3rd Pirates movie and a Mary Jane figure from the 1st spider-man movie. How random is that? Not to mention there were 2 people working there that didn't say a word and when we walked in they were freaked out. You could tell NOBODY ever came in here. It was the most awkward moment of my life.

How could I forget, PC WORLD!

PC World is horrible I avoid them.

I remember going in some DVD/Video game store in Miami where they make you hand your bag over to the cashier behind the till as if your gonna steal something. You collect your bag when you leave.

I don't know if thats a common thing in American stores but if they did that in europe no one would shop there.

That's an easy for someone to accuse the store of stealing from their bag I would think. Could cause a lot of problems.

If I bring something into a store, like a soda or whatever. I always go to someone and tell them that way I have a witness in case anything goes down.

I work at a Value Village (Savers in parts of the US, it's a big chain second hand store).
You wanna see "dregs of society", that's where they are.
We had a customer literally pee in one of the fitting rooms because the $50 shopping spree she won had to be used in one visit.
Now let's take a look at some of the things we have on our shelves at the moment.
Empty Coke cans (key word empty), that happen to have an olympic logo on them priced at 4.99 each (cdn).
A LA Kings pennant that's dirty, creased and torn. Apparently signed by the team, though you wouldn't be able to tell since all these "signatures" are so faded you can barely make out the imprint that the pen left. Price -- 29.99.
We sell used t-shirts for more than than you can get the SAME shirt brand new at the bargain shop in the same plaza.

When it comes to the mix of horribly priced items and absolutely repulsive people that shop there (though I will admit the good often outweigh the bad), I can easily say it's the worst store I've ever been in....and I work there!

I don't get how Gamestop can sell opened games as new. Why in the world would I want to buy a brand new game that's been opened??

Went to the McDonald's in a Wal-Mart in El Paso, TX for lunch. Now, I admit, I was trying to be a bit of a smart-ass, but I asked the girl for a half-dozen chicken McNuggets. She told me they only sell 4, 6, and 10 pieces. When I asked, "So I can't get a half-dozen?" she again told me 4, 6, or 10. Just sad really.

To Magic Walrus regarding the haggling over the soda price, perhaps the store owner should better understand the way things work here. If I was in his home country, I could understand the haggling over price. But when you deliberately overprice things, just to haggle them down, I don't think so.

I will say this...having been to every state in the continental US, and most major cities...comic shops are the worst.

The employees almost never know anything about the business side of things, shipping dates etc (even for their top sellers) and more often than not they are either rude or ignore me.

Worse yet...I am ALWAYS looking for indie books...I will go in and ask for a string of titles that they never carry in an attempt to fill the wholes in my collections. Then, after dashing my hopes for Stray Bullets, Madman, Strangers In Paradise and Beanworld, they ALWAYS recommend Ultimate X-Men or something equally silly to me, completely ignoring that my interests clearly would not lead my to want that, and if I did Id already be well aware of its existence.

Whats wrong with dude...dude? :o

I agree.
