Worst T.V. Series Finales

Torchwood.

I'm not sure if the series is continuing, but that last episode of the first seasons was such a dissapointment.

The second series is starting some time.

And the last episode was directly continued in the last three episode of the current Doctor Who series. Well...at least Captain Jack's part is.

The pretender. What happened, I know they made 2 tv movies but really. Why end the show like that come on.

That was one of those shows that got screwed. It was a cliffhanger season finale setup for number 5, and they canned it, Profiler, and The Others (two more shows that got screwed with cliffhangers).

It's been so long since I've seen the two movies, I can't really remember much. I remember that the one about the haunted island was confusing as hell. And I think the other movie dealt with a Pretender that escaped with Jared (unless that was an episode)

The show got really good with season 4. Man I can't belive it wasn't picked up.

How about Frasier? Was that a setup for another sequel series, or what? How about "Frasier Goes To Chicago"?

I thought it was brilliant! The whole time you think he's going to take the job in San Francisco, then you find out at the end he's going to be with Laura Linney. I thought it was a perfect ending.

And a lot of people didn't like the last episode of The Wonder Years.

Well, it always sucks when they have some voiceover to see what happened to the characters beyond the events of the final episode. Although given the concept of the Wonder Years, with a man telling us the events of his childhood and whatnot, I suppose it's fitting that the show ended the way it did.

I remember reading somewhere where that the creators wanted the wonder years to continue through Kevin's college years. Too bad that didn't play out. Jack's death & the family's reaction could've been one of the saddest moments in tv history. :( If done right of course.:o

MSN put out a list of their 7 worst...

The Sopranos (2007)
Seinfeld (1997)
St. Elsewhere (1988)
Angel (2004)
The X-Files (2002)
Star Trek Voyager (2002)
Quantum Leap (1993)
Gilmore Girls (2007)
I never saw Gilmore Girls but I ALWAYS saw previews and I'm not surprised the finale was horrible. The X-files ended in 02'? I thought it ended in the 90's :p

There's a big difference between not getting what you want on a trivial level, and being tried and convicted and sent to prison for "depraved indifference".

That was overkill.:o

I liked Seinfeld's ending but I can understand people being a little unsatisfied with it.

Spidey is the king of sucktastic endings. Each cartoon I have grown up with was cancelled before it could resolve some very important issue: Never found Mary Jane, never got off of counter earth, friend stuck in a coma.

Family Matters had a awful ending.

I never saw the end of Frasier. I loved that show, but the last two or three season I just stopped watching it. I don't even know why :(

Man, that final season was as good as any! They brought back ALL of the original writers and everything! :(

Go buy it! Frasier Marathon!! :)

if 'fire walk with me' counts as the finale to 'twin peaks'... eww

Seinfeld
Angel
Quantum Leap
Gilmore Girls
7th Heaven
John Doe (worst Series Finale ever)

I mean for god's sake it was written as a season finale even though they knew they were cancled.

Even if they did know they were canceled, they still had waaaaaaaay too many plot lines to easily tie up at the end of the series.

But did they? Nope left all the fans wanting more. God I was so pissed off at that series finale.

I think you mean Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsens "Two of a Kind" which I admit I used to watch when it was on TGIF.

No, it was some 80s show before the Olsen's time. I think Pink Ranger named it a page or two back.

Speaking of the Olsens though, Full House is one of the worst finales ever.

Yeah, MSNs list sucks. Even worse is their worst cartoons list they posted today.
But how about Boy Meets World? I loved that series, but to end it with a clip show. Boo.

'Hell, yes. That ending bugged the hell out of me for years. Then I started reading comics and stopped caring.

As far as sitcoms go that was great, except that Elaine was in the pokey w/ the fellas.

The last scene were Jerry's doin stand up..lol:woot: in some spot in gen pop..."I'm going to cut you!!" Hilarious

"I don't come down to where you work and tell you how to stamp license plates"

They did have too many plot lines to tie up in one episode of the series. They probably decided to keep with what they had planned to have as a season finale and hope that Fox changed their mind, or fans got off their asses to get it back on the air...

Well... they did something like that on "The Family Guy"

Peter Griffin: Everybody, I got bad news. We've been canceled.

Lois Griffin: Oh, no! Peter, how could they do that?

Peter Griffin: Well, unfortunately, Lois, there's just no more room on the schedule. We've just got to accept the fact that Fox has to make room for terrific shows, like "Dark Angel", "Titus", "Undeclared", "Action", "That '80s Show", "Wonder Falls", "Fastlane", "Andy Richter Controls the Universe", "Skin", "Girls Club", "Cracking Up", "The Pitts", "Firefly", "Get Real", "Freaky Links", "Wanda at Large", "Costello", "The Lone Gunmen", "A Minute with Stan Hooper", "Normal, Ohio", "Pasadena", "Harsh Realm", "Keen Eddie", "The Street", "American Embassy", "Cedric the Entertainer", "The Tick", "Louie", and "Greg the Bunny".

carol: and "Kitchen Confidential"

Lois Griffin: Is there no hope?

Peter Griffin: Well, I suppose if all those shows go down the tubes, we might have a shot.

that was the first episode of the re-launch
