In general, I never understood who Dick could be short for Richard much like Bill is for William.

I'm intrigued by the rumor that says Batman has been separated from Dick for a number of years. When Bruce inevitably finds Dick again, what do you think will happen? Will Dick even be useful at that point, given how long he's been cut off from Bruce? Will Bruce have to feel Dick out to make sure he's still using his head? I wonder what made Bruce decide to rid himself of Dick in the first place. Had Dick gotten soft?

I think Dick is just hard to get a hold of. Bruce has probably been trying to reach Dick for years, with no luck. Sometimes, I bet Dick can be hard to find. Even when you've lived with him and trained him for years, like Bruce. Bruce took Dick in all those years ago, so I think Dick owes it to Bruce to connect with him again.
