Sequels Would you change Spidey's costume???

that would be the biggest mistake... ever..

that was my favorite part of the franchise... they absolutely did it right... i just think they should do the green goblin... and don't be afraid to let people die..(Gwen).. bring some intensity... and don't kill the villians.. or at least leave it ambiguous.. haha..

and i like raimi.. hell.. i cut class and was one of six people in the theater to watch the first evil dead when it first came out... the other five were my friends.. i just don't think his minds on it anymore... seems like he wants to do horror movies again...

also.. i wouldn't mind them going to mechanical web-shooters...

I'd like to see how the webbing under the arms looked. I'd probably lose the raised webbing or make it black.

It's time for a change. The suit is great, but changing it would add some freshness.

And all I'm talking about is raised black metallic webbing instead of silver and John Romita Sr small sinister eyes.

Is that so damn hard?

Silver is a more logical color for the webbing, as that is the color of actual spider silk. I have never seen a black web. I like the bigger eyes, & "Sinister" conflicts with "Friendly neighborhood".
I'm against the armpit webbing b/c at best, it would sag when he lowered his arms, which would look tacky as hell. And at worst, it would restrict his movement, which is impractical.

I used to think that spidey's costume (movie) was as close as it could get...until i saw iron man now i know they can do better.

I don't think so. They're pretty much on the same level, IMO. And neither is 100% dead-on.

That iron man was codesigned by adi granov the artist who was painting the monthly book at the time it is spot one in every way that matters. I'm not saying spidey isn't cool it just could better that's all.

small changes like, get rid of the raised webbing!! make the blue a lighter shade.

i always wondered in the movie how peter was able to afford to make a costume like that, with webbing on the suit instead of the webs sewn into it!?

Overall, Spidey's suit looked spot on in these films, the only slight change I noticed was from Part two to three, it seems as if they darkened the hue of the blue somewhat.

Keep the costume the same, nothing needs to be changed.

THey seemed to also enrich the red. The symbol was slightly changed, too.

I had absolutely no problem with the raised webbing. In fact, I absolutely loved it! I remember seeing this poster by the Hildebrandts back in '96, & I just hoped beyond hope that they would go that route for the movie.

haha yeah, I hate seeing costumes with the blue too light..

The movie suit looks sooo good.. I mean, holy moly.. It looks so awesome especially with all the cool lighting they put on it.
I love the raised webbing. Its the bomb.

They need to add changes to it, but I don't really know what they could do to make the suit look better.

lol, they should sew on to the costume 4 foam arms sticking out (2 on each side) of his sides.. lol it would be so funny...

Just kidding.. but it would be funny :spidey::spidey::spidey:

Of the various problems I have with the Spider-man movies, the suit was definitely NOT one of them. Raimi nailed the suit, it looks great, we don't need to change it.

Really, the only problem I had with the costumes was GG2. I don't rag on GG1 too much because I know Raimi had limitations with the budget, but with GG2 I have no idea why we didn't get this

You know what happened the last time they lightened the blue on a movie costume? We got this

I was ok with the New Goblin. It wasn't great, but I could understand within the context of the movie. Plus, had Harry gone with something along those lines, it wouldn't have fit with his change of heart at the end. Spider-Man & Green Goblin working together? That's a sight that would've made JJJ drool.

Not really it would have just shown how far off the deep end he went and then is still able to redeem himself.

I'm not saying it absolutely wouldn't have worked. But I understand them going the route that they did. Keep in mind, also, that Spidey had finally won the public's love & support at this time. Him fighting side by side with (as far as they knew) a psychotic terrorist could have undone all of that.

is that supposed to mean the lightening of the blue was good or bad?

.. and how is that lightened? it is the same, darker if anything.
