Well they could make Green Lanterns seprate where each has a trilogy or all involved where it has more than one Green Lantern.
That's kind of what I see, except their are Four films. (I said a trilogy earlier, but I thought of another story)
The first one would only have Hal, but Alan Scott wil already exist, but not appear. His existence will be talked about by the Guardians after Hal asks about why he is different.
The Second will have the introduction of Guy Gardner, after Hal is incapacitated (captured by the Manhunters), for a short time.
The third will have Jon Stewart introduced, Guy will be on OA, recieving his training, and Jon will be there to help Hal fight Cyborg Superman and Mongul.
He however will not be involved in the final Battle, he takes Carol Ferris and a few citizens to safety after the Nuke is dropped. Hal fights C.S. and Mongul, and by tapping into Parallax to have enough power to kill them, he is transformed.
The final scene is him on Oa, killing the Guardians. Guy is knocked out, but not killed.
Then the next film begins. Ganthet goes to earth, and Kyle finds him and helps him recover. He tells him that he must be the new lantern, the one to stop the great evil of Parallax. Kyle is of course in shock. There are scenes where he takes on a villian and recieves some training from Ganthet. Kyle fits into his new role easily. Jennie comes in one day and Ganthet recognizes her( He scares the S*** out of her first.)
They talk about her father, Alan, and his retirement of being GL. Kyle teams up with Jon, Alan, Jennie (who realizes she has the power of the Starheart inside of her as well, this is discovered by Ganthet) and Guy when they get to an Oa in ruins.
Parallax, however is not there. During his trip to Oa, Carol was taken and made into Star Sapphire, making her insane. They decide to recreate the universe by their design. They go to the Sun, where they are met by an Army of Lanterns, led by Kyle Rayner.
The battle ultimately ends in the near destruction of the sun, which Hal, finally soming to his senses, sacrafices himself and his power to restart the Sun. The final scene we see is his face, covered in a cloak, in space looking at the earth.
