I would. Personally I would want to see one with Hal Jordan as the Green Lantern. The main enemy I would hope would be Sinestro. Since reading Green Lantern Rebirth I really want to see one made with Hal Jordan. Hopefully adopting part of the Rebirth Story to the screen.

Well I agree not a comedy a serious film. It would suck to have Superman and Batman treated so well and then to have other DC Comic Super Heros not treated as serious as them. Hal Jordan Green Lantern is no Superman but when he did sacrifice himself he proved no fear and so others could live.

I'd like a good, serious Green Lantern film.

......are you sure you're not thinking about Jesus?

Yes, only if the names Robert Smigel and Jack Black are not mentioned at all.
My plans for a film trilogy are this:
Hal Jordan is the first galactic GL and Sinestro is the main villian in the first film.
The second should have Mongul and Cyborg as the villians (you all know what happens here),
and the third has Kyle Rayner, Alan Scott and Jade, and Parallax is the villian.

Well they could make Green Lanterns seprate where each has a trilogy or all involved where it has more than one Green Lantern.

No if you read Green Lantern Rebirth it tells what happen as far as him sacrificing himself.

That's kind of what I see, except their are Four films. (I said a trilogy earlier, but I thought of another story)

The first one would only have Hal, but Alan Scott wil already exist, but not appear. His existence will be talked about by the Guardians after Hal asks about why he is different.
The Second will have the introduction of Guy Gardner, after Hal is incapacitated (captured by the Manhunters), for a short time.
The third will have Jon Stewart introduced, Guy will be on OA, recieving his training, and Jon will be there to help Hal fight Cyborg Superman and Mongul.
He however will not be involved in the final Battle, he takes Carol Ferris and a few citizens to safety after the Nuke is dropped. Hal fights C.S. and Mongul, and by tapping into Parallax to have enough power to kill them, he is transformed.
The final scene is him on Oa, killing the Guardians. Guy is knocked out, but not killed.
Then the next film begins. Ganthet goes to earth, and Kyle finds him and helps him recover. He tells him that he must be the new lantern, the one to stop the great evil of Parallax. Kyle is of course in shock. There are scenes where he takes on a villian and recieves some training from Ganthet. Kyle fits into his new role easily. Jennie comes in one day and Ganthet recognizes her( He scares the S*** out of her first.)
They talk about her father, Alan, and his retirement of being GL. Kyle teams up with Jon, Alan, Jennie (who realizes she has the power of the Starheart inside of her as well, this is discovered by Ganthet) and Guy when they get to an Oa in ruins.
Parallax, however is not there. During his trip to Oa, Carol was taken and made into Star Sapphire, making her insane. They decide to recreate the universe by their design. They go to the Sun, where they are met by an Army of Lanterns, led by Kyle Rayner.
The battle ultimately ends in the near destruction of the sun, which Hal, finally soming to his senses, sacrafices himself and his power to restart the Sun. The final scene we see is his face, covered in a cloak, in space looking at the earth.

Yes, he did sacrifice himself to reignite the sun. But he'd been willing to sacrifice himself to help others hundreds of times previously, so I don't see how it proves anything.

Yes, the main movies I want to see are Iron Man, Green Lantern, Capt America, Wonder Woman, Aqua Man and Capt Marvel/Shazam.

All they care about are 3 Superheroes, Batman, Superman and Spider-man.

Let's see some of these ^

Thank goodness Iron Man is coming along. Capt America and Wonder Woman are coming along also. It's about time, Geeeezz!!

Definitely Hal Jordan's story.

If you read Green Lantern Rebirth you are probally more than likely going to be convinced that Hal Jordan is the best Green Lantern. What he had to go through and he still came out on top. He becomes Hal Jordan once again finally escaping the Parallax becomes the Green Lantern what he looked like before being corrupted and the takes on and defeats Sinestro then unites with other members of the Green Lantern Corps to defeat the Parallax. Despite the Parallax attempts to get Hal to give up accept defeat and start becoming fearful it does not work he continues to live without fear believe in light and courage and still defeats the Parallax. I give it a perfect 5 out 5 stars. Despite disrespect and from Batman to Hal Jordan and others he still wins along with counting him out. It proves that whoever puts Hal Jordan in the corner the person or person's just can't seem to come out on top. I am suprised any Super Villan wants to take on Hal Jordan.

I would like them to go the Star Wars route and make two trilogies.

1st trilogy: Hal Jordan

2nd trilogy: Kyle Rayner

It's not an original concept but having 6 GL movies sure as hell would kick a lot of ass.

Only if it's done very seriously. Green Lantern should be an epic space saga, not a Jack Black comedy filled with fart jokes.

Agreed.

I agree. If it is done that way than it is going to be a really sad day for the Green Lantern and their fans.

I would not be happy with it being made without Hal Jordan.

I actually can't recall many fart jokes from Jack Black's work.

I would see it. Even if it was a comedy i would still watch it!!! But i would prefer a serious one.

I wanna see a Green Lantern film more than any other comic adaptation... but not in the rumoured form. GLINO is no film I wanna see!

Being completely realistic about the audience and the risk that GL represents for Warner, I'd suggest (in a nutshell) the following:

GL1 - Hal Jordan origin with Abin Sur, Sinestro, a love story, Top Gun-style Air Force base action and NO Guardians, Oa or other Lanterns shown (only referenced with perhaps a brief link at the end). The potential corruption of the ring's power shown.

GL2 - Hal, the Guardians, Oa, Kilowog, Sinestro... almost the whole shebang... and, toward the end, the corruption of Hal and transformation to Parallax. The Corps are introduced and destroyed.

GL3 - Kyle Raynor the new (and only) GL, restoring the Corps, fighting Parallax and the rebirth of Hal Jordan. Essentially 'Rebirth' on screen.

This, to me, could be the 'Star Wars'-style trilogy people have mentioned and could introduce the "silly" elements of Green Lantern lore slowly and smartly.

Aliens, power rings, enormous green batteries and little blue men aren't exactly an easy sell... especially when spending millions of bucks... but I reckon it can be done...

...the right way.
