Wouldn't it be cool to have a classic movie monsters game?

It would be fantastic if there was something Call of Dutyesque or perhaps similar to Balder's Gate where you could play as classic movie monsters.

Of course, they wouldn't be able to use creatures like Godzilla or King Kong because of their size unless that was some sort of special bonus.

Think about it, it could be as in love with the '50s as LA Noire was but with a sci fi/monster twist.

Who would you play as?

I love this idea! I'd love them to reboot Castlevania and have Simon Belmont rendered in 3D with an epic story line!

I just love the idea of those kind of monsters getting an awesome game. :D I'd probably play as Frankenstein or Dracula. The Invisible Man would be awesome as well!

I'd love something like this. I'm a huge fan of the Universal Monsters.

Someone should just make a sequel to Monster Party.

As far as using actual "name" characters like Dracula, Frankenstein, Predator, The Creature from the Black Lagoon, etc., there's the issue of having to secure licenses, which would make such a project very expensive just for that alone.

Would be a cool idea, though. And I'm willing to bet the game (as long as the gameplay was good) would be popular enough to offset the licensing costs.

An interesting idea.

I immediately thought of the Rampage games. Those games had Godzilla and King Kong ripoffs so maybe it could work for some of these too.

If it just the classic monsters from the 40's through 50's it would be that much since they are all owned by universal. Those are the most iconic anyway.

I say a Supernatural game with the brothers vs the classic monsters

I remember playing Dungeon Keeper when Peter Molyneux made good games. You were like a evil over-lord monster who commanded an evil army of monsters and made traps to kill off hero's entering your dungeon attempting to take your riches. It was a very fun game full of character and a great concept.
