i want to believe this will be #1 in the box office for this coming weekend.

Cigarette Smoking Man is laughing from his grave...#2 is a better possibility.....especially if X-philers come out in droves to see it..if they still aren't pissed on how Chris Carter mis-handled the series.

To anyone who has SEEN the movie.
Are there any spoilers for someone who hasn't seen the series? My wife is going through the series for the first time...she knows about Mulders sister...but i'm more concerned that the movie might mention something that ruins the ending of the series for her.

So...to anyone who has seen it...will it spoil the series for someone watching it for the first time?

For those who have seen the movie!!! Can anyone tell me what happend during the final end credit scene???

It doesn't spoil the series accept for the Scully/Mulder relationship.

I waited around for a while but didn't see anything, that being said I didn't wait for the end of the credits.

Step Brothers and The Dark Knight will be close...if TDK wins which with these continual weekday numbers that we are getting...it is more than likely that TDK will win but it won't be more than 20 mil ahead of Step Brothers.

X-Files will not finish 2nd for sure...it will be third with less than 20 mil.

Will Ferrell's highest opening weekend was Talladega Night's $47 mil. I doubt Step Brothers will top that, so Dark Knight would have to have a massive drop, around 60-70% for this to be even close. Sure most people that wanted to see have already seen it, but I've heard a lot of people saying they want to see it again.

SPOILER (maybe)
End credits
Mulder and Scully are in a row boat (bikini Scully/swim trunks Mulder)
A helicopter flys over head and they wave at it..cut to black~end credits

I read the spoilers for this film today in a movie review. I was kind of shocked, really. Maybe it plays out well on film, but to me, if you want to resurrect a dead (or nearly dead) series, I would think that you'd have to come up with something a little bit better than
a guy building a body for his dead gay lover.
Seriously, WTF?

i liked it. it was just great to see them again. It's been so long.

Favorite moment

The return of Skinner. Had no idea he was in this, was hoping he was. I was so happy. Then I was saying, now this is the X-Files.

What....the....f**k?

I always felt that they waited too long between this one and the first movie. Alot of ppl nowdays have no idea what the Xfiles is all about.

I'll wait for dvd.

just came from watching it

it was JUST like watching the tv show
if you're not a fan of the x-files then
you shouldnt watch it, lol

it had a villain-of-the-week type of plot, but it was more about scully and moulder and how they view things.

i hope they make another one, and include an actual "x-file"
until then its nice to see scully and moulder again!
6 out of 10(which is good in my book)

now for some spoilers:
thank god the villain wasnt a
werewolf
lol

You consider 6 out of 10 good? You've got one bizzare rating system. This movie sounds like it's more lackluster than the first one. I won't even be waiting for the DVD. I'll continue watching re-runs of the X-files on the sci-fi station and wait for this to be televised on FX.

Is Fox capable of not ruining a sci-fi or CBM franchise?

Apparently not, if this film is an example.
