I'm shocked at how badly this movie has done at the box office.

Obviously Batman is a huge factor, but still....don't release your movie against Batman. That's surely a basic bit of Hollywood logic.

Even withOUT the Batman freight train rolling, i doubt this movie would have done much better.

There's just very little interest left in this franchise. ..despite what Chris Carter thinks.

X-files are offically dead. They should have made a better movie. It felt like a bad episode of the TV show...Plus they waited a little too long and didn't hype it up.

I'm not shocked, the trailers are unexciting and it's been ages since anyone but the major fans cared about X-Files...
Being one of those fans, I'll see it regardless though. :)

you havent seen it yet?
yegods man, get yer ass outta the chair and hit your local theater!!!!!!!

it rocks.

It was decent extended episode of the series. Definitely not the best X-Files episode, but a decent one nonetheless.

So what exactly are they dealing with? Aliens? Werewolves?

I just saw the movie. I can't believe
that it's not an X-File about aliens??

I'm surprised. I was hoping for some inclination to that or maybe the Syndicate or some secret government involvement, but nothing. I can you have anything X-Files, especially a Theatrical movie, without a real X-File?

Just saw the movie last night and I gotta say....DAMN was it poorly written, the story and all sucked imo. The only good thing was it brought back a lot of homage seeing Fox and Scully...as well as
Skinners late appearance
, back together. Come on they could of created a much more compelling and interesting story. It felt like a bad episode of the TV series like people have said.

On a side note, I wish Gillian Anderson would get back into the whole film industry. It was great seeing her again.

Oh ya, hopefully they lower prices on the complete series collection and bring it out on Blu-ray because I definitely want to pick that baby up!

so...whats the final word from those that have seen it? Was it good, was it too little too late...does it hold up to the first movie? I'm an old fan...lost track of the series after 2000 and never jumped back on board...but I really wanted to see this if true fans say it was worth it.
