Looks like they did after all prepare material for the much discussed X-Men 2.5 dvd. Composer Miho Nomura did music for a documentary that would have been on the set. Found this on her official site.

Marvel Comics doc on 'X-Men 2.5' DVD

February 15, 2006

Wrapped production of the Marvel Comics documentary featured on the upcoming X-Men 2.5 DVD. Miho scored original music for this documentary.

I wonder what else they planned to put on the set?

The X2 DVD set was pretty complete and had alot of extra content. If all they are adding is 1 documentary, I dont think it will be worth a repurchase for me

I was just watching one of the X2 docs, Michael Dougherty said Singer hired him to write the film because they are personal friends. I lol'd.

Don't think this dvd is needed. X3 one yes. I never saw how they did the Angel wings, Storm in the air... Jean house... so many things that weren't showed in the Special edition, while X2 effects were (tornados, Kurt first sequence...)

Duh, don't you remember the interview news? About people being interviewed for the X2.5 DVD. There were threads for those too here...

Hmmm...Maybe they'll have something ready for us by "Wolverine" promotion time...I'd still get a 2.5...

I'm really f'n tired of all these Special-Extended-Directors-Bull**** edditions! for movies i like >:O

I dont have the money to double-triple dip, why cant they just throw it all on the first release.

'Cause you'll dip either way, and those who can afford it will double-triple dip. :cwink:

I'd buy this because it's the X-men, if they added some footage and a few neat-o extras.

I have a question. If Jean was powerful enough to stop millions of gallons of water, control the jet, and block Nightcrawler from using his powers, why did she have to leave the jet to save everyone? Couldn't she have just lifted the jet while still inside? It seems like going out and doing all that other stuff was pointless.

Then again it is Singer.

It looked better on screen and helped set up X-Men 3.

this isn't really needed at all - now for x3, which was an embaressing sngle disc edition, yes.
