Who would you cast for other characters in XMFC2? I actually can't think of anyone, so get those ideas going :woot:

I would love to see Mr. Sinister in some form or fashion in X:FC2... Viggo comes to mind first off but I know he has been seen as Sinister for a long time. I have another in mind though I can't remember who I was thinking of haha!

I really want to see Phillip Seymour Hoffman in an X-Men film.

Jeremy Irons for Sinister in the third movie.

or Vigo Mortessen (too high profile, maybe, but who knows?)

or Jon Hamm as last option. Would be interesting to see him playing a badass villain.

Not bad at all but I never get if psylocke is meant to look british or japanese!

How about Keiron Richarson as Quicksilver and...

Emma Stone as Scarlet Witch (I can't find an appropriate picture!)

and what about Polaris?

any great young actress around 16 so to play her?

Ive been trying to find one, but I cant find the right choice yet

Wow 16? How bout we go legal with at least 18 so shes not jail bait haha. They usually get older actors to play younger and I dont think she will be portrayed as Magnetos daughter if they use her, unless it takes place quite a bit in the future. Although not doing that would be odd with her and Mags having similar powers. I would like to see her the same age as the other X men.

but not all the young actors have to have 20 years. Matthew should show an age different between characters, specially when the day they introduce young Scott, Jean and Storm, so Havok, Beast and Banshee will look older than them, and would seem believable someway.

Jeremy Irons for Sinister OMG YES.

I really can't see them bringing in Quicksilver or Scarlett Witch (or Polaris, really) unless they're planning on making them completely unrelated to Magneto. I can't see this film version as having any children and I feel like suddenly revealing "surprise, not only are you a father, but a father of TWINS! MUTANT twins!: doesn't translate well to the big screen the way it does in comics. It would be too much of a soap opera, last-minute retcon move. Remember folks, TWO HOURS. They don't have time to dedicate too much of that time to family drama. If Erik had children, a wife, I can't help but think that Charles would have brought up those memories during the satellite scene instead of one when Erik was 10 and celebrating Hanukkah with his mother.

If they were prepping Erik for being a father they could've left their options open with some remark about his wife from either him or Charles, and since they didn't I think it's a bit too late to introduce them.

They need more adults if anything imo. I understand because of continuity that the original X Men are that young but besides them I would rather they keep the new X men round the same age or older.

Havoks gonna land himself back in Jail if Polaris is that young.

I think they all can work on screen, but yeah I agree. I dont see them going into a direct continuation of FC with Magneto the Dad. His kids wont work or have impact if they are just children.

With Polaris if shes not related to Magneto then there isnt really a point besides giving fans a Polaris Havok relationship. She has the same powers and would probably come off as copycat. I think she has to be Mags daughter to fully work on screen because of the power resemblance. Gotta set up why they would add someone else who happens to control Metal when they already have one. Just like if Nightcrawler and Azazel appeared at the same time.

I know.... its a complex issue, damm

:csad:

Im really interesting in the Alex-Lorna relationship and in the connection with Eric too...

they dont have to reveal she is her daughter at all, just adress the possibility and make him/us believe she is, but at the end to deny it all, in a smart way.

A good creative team can pull this off easily, so it just depends on them.

what would anyone think of the idea of Polaris, instead of his daughter, being the result of Shaw's experimenting on him (not necessarily a clone) but maybe him played with the idea of injecting mutant DNA into a pregnant woman or some form of artificial means such as that

which would allow her to be late teen/adult at this time...

Id be cool with that.

Yeah I like Polaris and hope they put her in. But Id rather they wait if they cant do her right. Shes a good character.

yeah, but it feels like "second class" seems the best moment, since in the next ones it will be time for Scott and Jean.

And Polaris was one of the new additions after the original 5, would be a cool nod to the comics to include her in the sequel, specially since Havok is on this new "franchise"

I dont see it that way. She can easily exist in DOFP or films in the future without any need of explanation. Other then saying shes Mags daughter.

The order of appearances is completely screwed. The only reason I see her being a good choice is cause of Havok, otherwise she doesnt belong imo cause Magneto is too young. They will have to work around the character to have her fit.

Michael Fassbender will have 36 years on 2013, when the movie will be shooted.

realistically, he could have had sex with a girl around with 20 or so, that girl doesnt need to be a girlfriend from the past at all, he had something with a girl during a short time, and that was all.

But if they dont want Polaris to be his real daughter, they just can adress the possibility but denying it at the end, as Ive said. It wouldnt be so hard to write a subplot like that. Matthews team can do it. And they dont need to give Polaris's arc many screentime at all, some scenes here and there during the movie and it would be fine.

And since Matthew didnt want to add more than one new character, Polaris would serve a double plot, the new girl of the x-men, and someone with a possible familiar connection to Eric. And she would protect the x-men a few times in a possible final battle with the brotherhood. It would be really interesting, in fact, to see someone with the same power as Eric fighting with him. It would create some tenssion, for sure, specially being a girl much much younger than him. I would pay twice to see that, lol

Im afraid Fox or Matthew arent interested in the family connections of the characters, but in my opinion this issue would bring something totally new to the franchise, and specially to Eric's character. We have seen Magneto on four movies already, its time to bring something new on the table.

Just a thought

Sounds a bit too much like baby daddy drama to me. I don't really see how a random daughter appearance would change Erik's character at this point and I think it would be a pretty cheap plot device to be honest. There are so many interesting plots and character points they have to work with already, they really don't need this family tie. And honestly I doubt we'll be seeing Polaris in the movies anytime soon. The producers stated quite explicitly that they chose the team they did for XMFC because they wanted a "different set" of powers. Having a girl-shaped Magneto kind of defeats that, especially if Vaughn is gunning for only one new character.

Your ideas could definitely work. It would still leave us with a very young Polaris. Also like you said the family connections probably wont be a big part of it which I have to agree with. I dont see them going that route.

Her connection to Magneto is very important as long as they are both in the same film because of their powers. If they were in separate movies the connection wouldnt be important. Otherwise I dont think it can be ignored.

They usually pick X Men based on powers and if they have been used or not. Since Magnetism is already chosen that cuts her out there but since she is such a fan fav and has strong history with Summers Im sure she is being considered. Just my view but i dont want to see her adapted as a kid or early teenager. It would probably give her a smaller role and limit her interactions.

too many things to disscuss at the same time, that I dont know how and to who reply, lol

about the characters choice, we have to remember that Singer had Sunfire on the first draft, or his treatment.

So if we take that into account and the movie itself, we have:

Beast (original x-men, comics of the 60's)
Havok (mutant from the 60's too)
Sunfire (60's too)
Banshee (new x-men from Second Genesis, on the 70's)

This really seems like Singer wanted to be faithfull to the x-men from the early comics some way.

So this would directly lead to Polaris, since she along with Havok where the first new mutants to appear on the 60's, after the original five.

I really like what Singer was trying to do. And once they include young Scott and Jean, we'll have such a great team on the movies again, and will be more faithfull to the comics., finally.

With Beast, Cyclops, Jean, more Havok, Polaris and Banshee.

Angel and Iceman would be out, for age issues. But still a great team, and even more if they use Sunfire too.

I would like to see her too, in a cameo or something on the 70's or 80's :D

no joke, would be really cool
