I wonder what this will mean for X-Men: Legacy once Carey leaves the book. I don't think that many people will be interested in it once Carey's gone.

Why not? I dont think Carey is the primary selling point for it.

It depends on the writer who takes over and if he or she makes it just another copy cutter of Astonishing/Uncanny/X-Men.

it depends on what the post-Schism X-books will shape up to be. There have been too many redundant books for quite some time, yet they keep adding more. Id hate to see Legacy canned bc as it stands, its will be the longest running X-men title. Get rid of Astonishing

I wanna see what Wells does Avenging Spider-man.

A 6 year run is a long time considering Legacy became the #3 X-Men book (after years of being the premier franchise title). This may mean the end of Legacy now since Marvel is trigger happy with reboots. But how do you reboot a book that started out as X-Men? You already have a book called X-Men.

You relaunch as Legacy and it will probably sell worse than it does now. It's a sad state of affairs for a book that had the highest selling debut issue in the history of comics.

I have a question. So we Have Astonishing X-men, Uncanny X-men, X-men Legacy, X-men, and Wolverine and the X-men... which one is getting cancelled? (Out of Legacy and X-men, I mean.)

If they cancelled x-men they could always cut the wolverine out and make that the new "X-men" down the line.

Based on the info from the article, it's either X-Men or New Mutants. It's not going to be X-Force because that book kicks all types of ass.

What would be the difference between Wolverine & the Pips and X-Force? It's not like he'd have to keep the team a secret anymore. He's not answering to anyone.

Did I miss an article? Where did it say something was getting canceled?

Nothing was said to be cancelled. I just see way too many x-books around more or less doing the same thing. And sells can't possibly keep up forever.

X-force kills, WatX dont. Id imagine X-force would remain a darker title whereas WatX will be your typical X-men book

HH posted the Newsarama link on the prev page. It said that there are going to be 7 silhouette teasers for the X-Men titles post Schism and 4 have been released. Together they all create a massive poster. The speculation is that X-Factor's is between Legacy and Wolverine & The X-Men. That leaves 2 books and there are 3 currently on Marvel's slate. So out of X-Men, Uncanny X-Force and New Mutants....something isn't making the cut.

I wouldn't say that. Marvel released a teaser for Pak's Astonishing X-Men that has nothing to to with the Regenesis teasers. Maybe X-Men, will be treated the same way.

That said, I would personally cut both Astonishing X-Men and X-Men and keep it to just Uncanny X-Men and Wolverine & the X-Men. Those two books are utterly pointless when up against the two core X-Men titles. Hell, they're pointless in comparison to New Mutants, Uncanny X-Force, etc.

Also an X-Men faction that consists of Emma Frost, Sebastian Shaw, Magneto, and possibly the Juggernaut. WTF!

More and more, that Annual featuring Emma and Shaw looks worse and worse in hindsight. There's never been a villain I wanted to disappear more than Shaw. And I say that as someone who hates Apocalypse.

Its sort of stupid Marvel making all these villains heroes. X-Men never had strength in depth in the villain department to begin with and X-writers have hardly been coming up with much decent mutant villains over the last decade.

I actually like seeing the X-Men fighting evil mutants and not just aliens, vampires, humans ect which you can see in any other comic book alot of times done better
